Tortoise Shell

Ok so I'm in story mode and one npc is asking for complete tortise shell, i've never found this item. What do I need to do to get one of these items?

find a turtle like creature and kill it , it will drop it , its big creature and its in grassland

Is it the big red dot boss creature?

no i don't think so , its also non aggresive creature

its in grassland , usually om southern part try to search under rock formation mark or nearby it

yea that is it , its non aggresive i didn't noticed its one of red dot bosses

But it's one of the hardest to kill in the game, so make sure you have a good iso gun before attempting...

i have 4x sentry type 1's that I set down, hitting on the armor shell seemed to do very little. It destroyed my 4x sentry guns but i managed to kill it with a rifle and my 2 companions. It dropped 3x shells for me.

It can be killed using wooden bow and 500-600 arrows. Use hit and run technique.

Don't fight it with a sword, use grenades or turrets if you're smarter than the average explorer.

I've had it show up as a red dot boss.

I spent at least 20 minutes fighting this thing. 15 minutes of it was using 3 artillery turrets shooting at it non-stop. And in the end all I got was some animal fat. I can't believe you could beat one of these with just 500-600 arrows. I used over 200 bullets using a rifle and barely got it down by about 5-10% of it's health. So best case scenario it would have taken me over 2000 bullets to kill the thing.

Lol , it's boss it's normally takes that amount of damage, but you are right at drop system , why are bosses not dropping something worth the fight, esp I'm pointing at dungeons , but I think we should wait they will balance the game for sure

I noticed giant robot only who get good , best drop from it , is it because of tech and how tough is it , actually that thing I doubt it will fall down just fighting by you and followers, whatever you use or wear

do they exist again? i have nt found one any since a specific update in the past, it's like they are entirely gone.

and the most epic is seeing the giant bird fight the giant turtle.
