About April - Spoilers Ahead

At the beginning of the Chapters we have scene from April funeral but as far i remember she was The Old Lady from the beginning of The Longest Journey, which was narrating whole story and even helped her younger version at some point. Do we have a plot-hole here or I missed something?

Definitely not a plot hole. Although, if you'll remember, that old woman narrating the story was never ever actually called "April," even though it was VERY strongly suggested that that's who she is. She is Lady Alvane.

I don't know if you've finished Book One, so I don't want to spoil anything for you. But the game is very -strongly- hinting at both a connection between Lady Alvane (April?) and Kian -- he bears the same last name and "recognized" April before he'd even met her -- as well as... the third playable character that shows up in Book One.

You didn't miss anything. I just don't think we're far enough along in Dreamfall Chapters to be able to connect all (or even half) the dots just yet.

EDIT: The post I was replying to was deleted, apparently. "He" here means Crow, and my post was about TLJ's ending scene.

He never actually says her name; I even checked my screenshots to be sure. :P But of course, it is VERY heavily implied it is her, or... some semblance of her. Yep, can't be a plot hole, because it was never said that Lady Alvane is in fact April.
Second possible reason why it can't be considered a plot hole, is because the game is a Fantasy, and there always seems to be a possiblity for anything to happen. Next thing you know, she could be reincarnated or manifested as a spirit or something like that.

I can't believe April is dead and I don't think she is.. The whole story began with April.. she's connecting to everything. Also, I'm in love with this character and the team made a lot of good work in designing her for Chapters.

I wanted to replay TLJ and Dreamfall but I coudn't find my CD's for TLJ (probably somone borrowed them from me years ago and did not return) but after playing Dreamfall I can say that Kian Alvane seems to fall in love with April from the first sight, so maybe Lady Alvane = April Ryan Alvane. We dont not know biological parents of April, but White Dragon is said to be her mother so maybe she will reincarnate but it excludes my theory about relationship with Kian, the problem is they burned April body so even if she will live, probably she wont be the same person. I think at this point we have to wait for the next chapters because there is too many possibilities and not enought information to explain everything.

The white dragon calls April her sister, her dauther and her kin. So I guess its more to it then a pure bloodline.

Also in TLJ you call Aprils mother in the police station it was optinal when trying to get repair me to fix the door, aslo we know that april had a bad reliationship with her father he was a drunk and from what was sugested beat her (or worse). so we know off Aprils parents their is also a single seen in TLJ were April confronts her father as a vistion when going to the gardians tower.

April was adopted and those people are not her biological parents.

The white dragon died giving birth to herself at least twice. Once at the end of TLJ and once thousands of years ago.
I think the young white dragon refered to April as the mother aspect.
Immediately after April's death there was a scene of a birth (or at least some creepy dude listening at the door while someone gave birth).
It is entirely possible that April is the child being born.

Yep... I too believe that Saga is in fact reincarnated April. And that eventually she meets Kian and they... well you know. ^^ I agree that Kian seemed to be charmed with April and it would break my heart not to see them together. That's why her funeral was real shock to me...
