Neither of those worked for me :(
Worked for me perfectly. All the other tips, hints etc did not work... At least my controller is at the newest firmware now. And I am still using the windows 10 default drivers.
OMG THANK YOU. I spent several hours trying different ways to fix this.
Also it worked only after I reconnected controller.
Win10 default driver, Xbox one controller with wireless adapter.
Windows 10
Xone gamepad
but I may have found a way to make it work (sorry for the bad grammar, brazilian here).
In the title screen, go to the settings session, controls the same screen that Nosferatu attached in his reply appears.
BUT when a click in somewhere with my mouse the options changes for the mouse+keyboard options. AND if a press some of the buttons of the gamepad the options will be set to the previous, only with the difference that the inventory key is now mapped.
Hope that I could Help.
If any brazilian comes here looking for aswer -
Bom Jogo!
Go to Device Manager --> Xbox Peripherals--->R-click Xbox Controller
Update Driver Software--> Browse computer for driver software-->Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
Click Xbox Gaming Device Version 6.2.11059.0 [5/26/2014]-->Click Next to install
Once you start your game, hit A on the controller, and you can check under Settings--->Controls to see that where the Inventory button was once blank it should now have a D-pad.
