Edit: And be careful who you make out with it can change your sexual orientation and effect how other react to you.
The developers confirmed that this is not true.
Not true. Stop spreading vicious lies on the forum, you troll!
It's not that the game don't change, but it insists too many times on the screen indicators when a choice has been made or when a choice changed something. At the end of the chapter you even get a recap. Too much information, game. Stop this.
On the "quality" of choices. Chapters one and two look promising and seem to have some meaningful choices, but chapter three and four have mostly stupid choices that won't change anything. And the game keeps insisting on telling you that you made choices, and it feels like the game is laughing at your face.
I'm sure chapter 5 (if ever comes out) won't disappoint, though, because nobody expects anything great actually.
We initially didn't have this when we released Book 1. All the choice/consequence mechanics was behind the curtain and the game just played out. The feedback was that the majority of players didn't even know that there was any choice/consequence mechanics in the game - it was too seamless - and some players felt cheated.
We then decided to make it more obvious when you make a choice, and when a result of a choice plays out. This kinda forces people to remember why something happened, and we believe it makes the storyline more interesting to follow.
It might not be the smoothest way of doing it, and I know some people feel it's too intrusive, but it's what we feel is best for the game. Just wanted to give some background information on why we ended up with it :)
I appreciate that, thank you.
