Which games do I need to play before this one?

Each of three games are about 20 hours in length if you listen to all the dialogue and don't struggle to long with the puzzles. Do listen to all of the dialogue and don't struggle with the puzzles %steamhappy%

The graphics of TLJ are a bit dated, but the story is so good you will probably not notice. Dreamfall is only 10 years old but the graphics is fine.

if u played "Dreamfall - The longest journey", you get enough information to play Dreamfall Chapters, but its better u play the longest journey too ^^

After playing book 5, I would say playing both TLJ and Dreamfall will offer you valuable background knowledge.

No, its realy confused. But this is one thing why i love this game xD

Play them both. Despite being old, they are great games! Took me around 20 hours for the first one, and about 10 hours for the second one.

As the first one has atrocious graphics (for todays standards), the story is so great you will forget this detail (if you like Point&Click games, it's one of the best I have played; and I've played a lot).

The second one has decent graphics, but the controls can feel clumsy at first, don't hesitate to adjust camera settings if you need. I did that and it was much more enjoyable.
