I believe saga mentions time is like a spiral, and people seem to be reborn so it can be posited that saga is somehow April since they have similar abilities and saga has her memories.
We also dont really learn how exactly saga can see the future / prophecy. This might be the whole spiral thing again. There are other things said such as the worlds must rejoin eventually which they apparaently did through 'the war of balance'. The cycle repeats untill it...doesnt?
Perhaps someone who is more of an expert on the first game might have better ideas.
I'm pretty sure it is April from TLJ. Look at the cloths. As for Saga knowing everyting, she has the 13 Volumes of the Balance that were written by Galath. This along with her journeys is how she gets her information. Remember how she always says, "that's how the story goes and that's what was written."
I assume the 'war of balance' would be explained in the next game, but since that wont likely happen they just threw it in at the end here to give an idea of what happens after this game (globe showing New Earth).
I don't think so. They are present when Saga goes to the house to get the rope and elixir which happens years before the War of the Balance. It would be difficult for Saga to relate those events to Galath before she experienced them.
I think that is pretty much a sure thing. This is old Saga with young April during the events of TLJ. But Saga is the reborn April. So, clearly April has moved thru time to arrive at the House of All Worlds when she has the converstation with Lady Alvane. The scene from the end of Chapters is a repeat of the earlier scene from TLJ.
Click the link above and compare.
Yep I know. I thought of the possibly that maybe the house of all worlds exists outside of time somehow. Sort of like a place that connects all events in time, like a hub of some sort. But I'm not too sure that would make sense.
That's not a bad idea. The House appears to exist outside the normal flow of event in both Arcadia and Stark so it's not that much of a leap to assume that it also exists outside the natural flow of time. Good thinking.
Yea I think it could possibly be a hub. Where all times and worlds connect to. Maybe thats why it is called the house of all worlds, because everything connects there. This element could make a entirely different story arc in the TLJ world. I'd be curious to know exactly where the house is and the origin of it.
Definitely a mystery that was not answered by DFC. Just like the origin of Saga's parents and her "Uncle" Galath. There was much speculation that Saga's mother was one of the Draic Kin or that her father was Westhouse. But both of those theories turned out to be false or at least not confirmed.
We have no information about the House or those that live there. Except for what we know about Saga.
I was really curious about her mother and her uncle as well. I'm surprised they didn't answer those questions but maybe its meant for a new game (which would be great). There is a clue about the nature of the house. Saga said that the house was suppose to take care of itself, the way I interpreted it was that the house was self sustaining. Maybe through magic? I don't know. Its really a mystery.
I read a comment from one of the developers that stated that they left some questions unanswered since it wasn't possible to answer them all. Saga's family appears to be one of those.
And yes, the House of All Worlds is another mystery. There are several references to the house being alive or having a soul. Remember when baby Saga scratched the floor and her mother told her she must not "hurt" the house and that the house would take care of them?
And remember Saga's father stating that the House would bring Saga's mother back if she got into trouble while traveling?
Clearly the house is an nexus of powerful forces and has some conscienceness to care for its inhabitants.
But alas we will probably never know much more than that. RTG is not planning any further games in the franchise and it is doubtful that Funcom will revive the franchise. But there is always the possiblity even if it is unlikely at present.
Yes, I do remember that now. She refers to it as following the Songlines. She says she doesn't have the ability to shift and she is not a dreamer. Saga is something different that is never really explained. And it would appear that her talent to navigate the Songlines has something to do with the House. As if the House is a nexus for these phenomenom.
This video really helped me to understand more. For me it looks like the story is in a loop. Like everything is happening again and again and again. Maybe it has something to do with the virus they wrote into the machine which crashed it into the infinity loop. Sounds very logical to me.
