Was ist denn Dein Anliegen?

Suchst Du nach Informationen, ob die fehlenden deutschen Untertitel ein Versehen sind? Oder wann sie nachgeliefert werden? Oder möchtest Du einfach nur anmerken, dass Du nicht damit einverstanden bist, dass deutsche Untertitel nicht bei Veröffentlichung mit bereit gestellt werden?

Wenn es Dir an den Infos mangelt:
Die Entwickler haben gestern zur Veröffentlichung geschrieben, dass die Lokalisierungs Teams für Deutsch und Französisch (also die Teams, die sich um Übersetzung und den Test der Übersetzung im Kontext kümmern) noch an der Arbeit sind. Und das die Untertitel per Patch so bald wie möglich nachgeliefert werden. Man hoft, dass dies in der nächsten Woche passiert und verspricht uns auf dem Laufenden zu halten.

So what are you interested in?

Are you looking for informations if the missing german subtitles are missing by mistake? Or when they will be added? Or do you simply want to get the point across that you don't agree with the german subtitles not being a part of the released version?

If it's the info thing:
The developers wrote yesterday: "When it comes to German and French subtitles, the localisation teams are still working on these, but they will be patched as soon as they're ready — hopefully next week. We'll keep you updated." Link

The rest of Europe has always had to wait so The French, Germans, Spaniards, and whoever else that can't be bothered to learn English could play a game. For once in your life you get to do the waiting on your own isntead of forcing us to wait with you, for absolutely no good reason.

ToveriJuri, just like it was impossible to translate the game juste before released it....

The problem is not about waiting, the problem is about the organisation of the developers. They are juste unable to send a complete script to a translation team... even if this script is finished since months.

And even if this is not the case, send an unfinished script is at least a way to release faster the subtitles.

Nah I'm glad that for once the rest of Europe doesn't have to wait for people who can't be bothered to learn a foreing language. The original language of the game is English after all.

Subtitles are one ting. But missing german audio is another. It is a bit strange if the spoken language is german and then a few lines are english. This breaks the feeling.

Naja, man muss es so sehen. Wer deutsche Untertitel eingeschaltet hat, der sieht nach dem Start von Buch 5 mal absolut NULL. Denn, B5 startet mit einem Rückblick auf die Entscheidungen und die sind in Englisch. Wer Subtitle (für mich ist das kein Subtitle) auf Deutsch hat, der sieht schlicht eine weiße Seite, ohne Hinweis.

Wer kein Englisch kann, ist dann hier schon einmal aufgeschmissen. Wie wurde das noch gleich mit Buch 4 behandelt? Achso, von "wir reichen in Kürze nach" nach "wir bringen es in einem Patch von Buch 5"

So, mal sehen was da kommt.

Yes, i find that too stupid. Im realy happy. I'm really happy that's the game now completed. But i realy miss the German Audio I hope we do not have to wait for another 2 years

Ick warte auch auf der Synchro... Englisch is ja meine Muttersprache aber ick bin auf deutsch angefangen, würde ick gerne auch so durchspielen! Wat scheiß is, is dass we jetz nur über Untertiteln gehört haben...

To the developers: my note above was just showing some sympathy for the German speakers, but i also have a question for you. What i am a little confused about is after episode 3 you said that the German dub was going to come later, but in the release notes for episode 5 you only mention subtitles. Please can you confirm that a German dub for episodes 4 and 5 will still happen? I started this game in German and i would really like to be able to finish that way. If no dub is forthcoming i will restart and play through the whole thing in English, though it is a little disappointing because i have learned to love all the characters with their German voice actors.

Mich kotz das auch an. Bis Episode 3 ist Deutsch SUB + DUB. 4 ist nur D. SUB. Ich warte auch gerade auf die komplette Übersetzung von 4 und 5. RTH hat bei Buch 4 versprochen, dass die Dubs nachgeliefert werden, sobald Buch 5 releast ist. Nun ist es releast und kein DUB da

Sie haben in ihrer Stellungnahme auch geschrieben das die deutsche Vertonung für Buch 4 und 5 nachgereicht wird.

Sure, harddisks (the mechanical ones) are dirt-cheap nowadays in terms of disk space, but it's a matter of principle you know!

Hier solltet ihr Folgendes lernen: Steam selbst - und dafür kann der Entwickler nichts - erlaubt lediglich anzugeben, ob das fertige(!) Spiel diese und jene Sprache in Form von Audio (Vertonung), Text oder GUI (Menüs usw.) hat. Bei den Spielen, die über mehrere Episoden veröffentlicht werden, ist es NICHT falsch, wenn auf der Produktseite Audio, Text oder GUI in der entsprechenden Sprache angegeben sind, aber zu Zeitpunkt X für eine Episode (noch) nicht vorliegen.

Der Entwickler schreibt - meist in Englisch - in seinen Patch Notes (auch hier gibt es keine Vorgabe, dass diese übersetzt werden müssen) und in eigenen Blogs, Foren oder eben hier direkt bei Steam im Diskussionsforum über die Entwicklung seines Spiels.

Heißt also, dass man bei Episodenspielen damit rechnen sollte, dass die Veröffentlichung einer lokalisierten Fassung oft eben nicht zeitgleich erfolgt.


Steam könnte sicher genauere Informationen bei Episodenspielen anzeigen, tun sie aber nicht. Dafür kann der Entwickler aber nunmal nichts.
