You first play the one that will be released in 2025, then you play the first one, then the third one, than, obviously, the second one. In between you sometimes must read the text of the kickstarter campaign to clue you in some story rewrites, but you'll manage that, once you've found the translation of the russian lore description of certain events before Arcadia was born.

"Dreamfall Chapters" was pretty difficult to get off the ground. One of the speakers (Zoe?) was ill at the time, as far as I remember. But that was quite a while ago.

This game series is definitely one of the best fantasy stories I know.
