Final Cut Finally Announced for PC!!!

Dreamfall Chapters: The Final Cut arrives July 21st on Steam, GOG and the Humble Store, for PC, Mac and Linux.

The Final Cut includes all the changes and updates from the console version, including new music and audio, improved character models, shaders and lighting, revised menus and user interface, remastered voice overs, a new Dreamfall recap video and plenty of extra features. This edition also includes the final batch of in-game rewards, along with general engine enhancements and optimisations, and performance upgrades.

Well the DC was never achieved, therefore this will never happpen, thats why it called Final Cut and not Director's Cut. From the rest I don't know if they are in the cosole version. There are some kind of short stories in the special edition as PDF, not very interactive but something to read the story of TLJ and Dreamfall:TLJ.

No, that's not correct. The Director's Cut was achieved; the previous link shows all their stretch goals, but the shown status was before the campaign had ended.

Here's the update from when the campaign ended (a little beyond the DC's stetch goal funding target), explicitly stating that the DC goal was reached

And not only do we get to make a game; we get to make the Director's Cut of this game.

Stretch goals are subject to change if they cannot manage to develop the main product - the game itself in this case - with the projected costs that are secured via funding.

There will definitely be NO French voice over since they never talked about it again. So, don't get your hopes up. The Final Cut is no different to the console versions in that regard.

Only a French publisher that invests money would make it possible at this stage. That's why us Germans are lucky since Deep Silver - a major publisher in our country - has partnered with them and that (with considerable delays) at least made a full professional German voice over possible.

My timing seems perfect. Just looked at my library and thought: I really should start DC! But wait! Wasn't there some news about a big update a long time ago? Hmm, better check if that update is already there.....

About 12 to 13 hours until the big patch. It normally happens at 12am GMT.

Doesn't necessarily have to be a French publisher, just one that wants to bankroll the localization.

But I agree that French localization probably isn't going to happen.
