Fighting Dracula crashes the game - every time

When it comes to the fight vs Dracula the game crashes. I've tried it 3 times now and this is the result:
- Play the last level
- Get to the boss
- When Dracula gets revealed every 5-10 seconds there is a short lag
- Shortly after I jumped on him the first time the game crashes (freezes, the sound is still playing)
- Nothing happens and I have to restart the game
Does anyone has the same experience ?

Yes, I have actually. It's prevented me from beating the game at all. Have you had any luck? My friend recommended I uninstall and re-install the game to get it to work, but I haven't tried it yet.

I played that chapter on one of my other computers but unfortunately I don't have a solution for this...

Weird, I didn't have any issues through the whole game. finished it a couple times now....

I've been having similar crashing problems with just about most of the levels. What OS are you playing this game on? It's possible it could be an issue regarding the game's compatibility with Windows 8 rather than your specs.

I played it on Windows 7 and on Windows 8 without problems; on my 3rd computer (Windows 7) I have encountered these issues.

Uninstall the game and install it again so maybe that helps. ;)

Why would it be a conflicting driver when the game runs just fine until that scene?

has a fix for this been found? the dracula fight has crashed on me seven times now. i'm getting really tired of running through mount vesuvius over and over.

Try contacting WayForward themselves at [e-mail]. They're pretty fast to respond and might be able to better help you than waiting around on Steam forums or Steam Support.

I have the same problem, sort-of. The game freezes everytime I reach the part with the red curtains (boss' lair?) It freezes after I enter this area with a random timing (sometimes I can see scrooge freezed as he enters, sometimes he can't even appear). I'm on Windows 7, x64, Nvidia Geforce GT 740

what the duck is going on ?! this game is 2 years old, how problems like that can even happen now ?!

EDIT: tried to force disable fullscreen but still same problem. i can't even see the face of the boss. I tried to play with winXP compatibility but it doesn't use my save and i have to replay the WHOLE game to see if it even does any difference... I sent a mail to the support but I heard rumors about developpers not supporting the game anymore.

I have the same problem. Every time i defeat Dracula, the game crashes. Very frustrating! Uninstalling and then installing the game didn't help.

Same problem here, on last level (maybe?) when I saw red curtain, the game is crashed.
This is my worst experience on steam ever, buying two games, and both from capcom, and both are full of bugs >_< (With RE6)
