They added levels, they added cutscenes and a gallery to actually spend the cash you gather in game. Along with an extreme mode for those who want a challange. I recommend this game fullheartedly as a old school gamer and a fan of the old capcom nes games which of course include this game. As a fair warning, this game is as difficult as the old game.
Wayforward definetely deserves the money for making this possible.
This game deserves more recognition and that's my two scents.

As for the game itself, It's fairly challenging unless you play on casual easy. There's a lot of cool hidden things here and there and the difficulty makes it really rewarding once you beat a section.
