Controller Compatibility
For DirectInput controllers we recommend using x360ce to allow DirectInput controllers to emulate XInput devices.

Here is an instructional video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7z8y_7YTn2E
(if anyone has better links please respond with them, I am not very experienced with x360ce)

1. Copy X360CE to ..\Steam\SteamApps\common\DuckTales Remastered\executable directory.

2. Download and install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012

3. Start X360CE Executable and configure your Controller.

4. Start game. If you hear a beep the X360CE is running.

This worked perfect with my Logitech Rumblepad 2. An Xbox 360 Controller runs out of the box, if the drivers are installed.

Is it so hard to make support for the DirectInput controllers?

Can't you just add gamepad support? This just uses digital input how hard is that to do.
Its so hard to install and configure X360CE, or buy a XBOX360 Controller ?

Its so hard to write a few lines of source code?

gamepads Xbox360 has only 1% of users, 99% of buyers are not compatible with the game gamepads, I do not want to seem tiresome, but the game is paid, and users may require developers to improve their product (the game).

LOL @ using a 3D controller to play a 2D game.

Get a Wii Classic Controller Pro, a Wii Classic Controller adapter, and bind the proper buttons to keys using software like Xpadder.

Hmm... I'll have to Google what an X360CE is...

this hasn't worked for me. wired universal game pad (PS3/PC), works for other games (specifically Nimble Quest which plays better after the above fixes). The start screen shows a circle with arrow (a start button) instead of an elbowed arrow (enter key) when i have the gamepad connected but does not respond to gamepad, does not respond to options menu changing keys.

I've also tried the programs Better DS3 and x360ce with no luck. anything else worth trying?

same problem here "jeereemee" i am familar with x360ce and use my generic wireless gamepad for games that i think are best played better with a controller, however this game will not work with my wireless controller. I have tried several times with both the usual procedure i use with x360ce and also the first comment's instructions. The game simply doesnt recognize my controller input commands. Everything works and repsonds perfect once i lauch the x360ce emulator but when i launch ducktales, the buttons are useless. can someone post exactly how they got x360ce to work with this game?? or at least suggest what could be the problem??? Thnak you veyr much in advance!

nevermind!! i got it working!!! u must have the controller turned on before u launch the game after setting up the x360 settings. It must have been in sleep mode.
