''re-download it if you’ve previously purchased it'' ???

So, why capcom is saying to people that already bought the game to re-download? Who own the game won't be able to download it after august 8?

That may depend on which service it was purchased from. Steam typically will always let you download the game again once you own it. I've heard other store fronts may not have the same storage policy so that when they remove it from their store you wouldn't be able to download it again.

That Capcom comment seems to be for "all" store services, not just Steam, just to cover the ones that don't have a library service as part of their store front

I have purchased games in the past on Google Play that don't let you download them once they are delisted. I wish there were laws about this. I know the game is on Google Play, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is affected, maybe even Amazon's app store too (not sure how they work).

The game was removed from mobile in 2017...

When a game is removed from the steam store it still stays in your library, I still have games on my account that were removed 10 years ago

Mobiles stores are crap. If gamers or youtubers complained more about how they retire games (even big ones, like the port of Soul Calibur in iOS) maybe things will change. Luckily, PC stores aren't like that.

Some of them are. Not all online stores have a library that lets you download games you own from them after they are removed.

How? Because I tried searching on more than one mobile device, on a PC on play.google.com, and using a search engine using the search Ducktales Remastered site:play.google.com and none were successful. All you get is tangential stuff like music.

Edit: (I am genuinely interested in the answer because I have a discontinued game I can no longer access.)

So I ended up buying this since its been waiting on my 'to buy' list for a long time now. But I am really curious, why is it the case that the Steam store states the sale is valid for almost 45 hours more if the game will be unavailable past today?

apk is the key term you're looking for

Steam lets you re-download games even if they have been pulled due to a DMCA complaint.

The game is available until some time on August 9th

The sale ends at end of day, or the start of August 10th, it's just how the discount timer works. Plus whatever time on the 9th it goes away, somewhere else in the world it's likely already the 10th in another time zone

Steam's ends each "day" at 10 AM PDT for some reason. That's 6 PM (1800) UK Summer Time, I think.

Publisher can still upload store page changes at any time, except for maybe total delisting.
