Black screen

Hi,

I bought this game yesterday and he works perfectly but today I try to play but I just have a black screen and the music of the menu.

Someone has the same problem ?

was going to offer some advice on how to fix it but seems you guys already refunded it sadly...
thats sad as its a great game, and the problems could have easily been fixed.
as it sounds like either drivers arent updated or something, easy stuff.

try updating drivers, directxrelist includes 9,0 and below as some games use older files also.
make sure you have all windows updates, as some include required files.
if any updates failed make sure you reget them.

o right, iobit.com -drivebooster- itll hunt down any drivers you need usually and update them.

I've tried updating my drivers using the program you said, yet I still get the black screen...any other ideas???

check the website which houses the graphics drivers for your graphics drivers and install them manully incase the program missed it.
the directx relist sometimes helps, but also make sure you have the newest one also.
try running it via properties on the exe and setting it to window mode if it isnt, and try the various settings on that.
make sure you have all windows updates.

Had the same problem after the first time I lauched the game. I switched the resolution to 1920X1080p since my MSI laptop, drivers and graphic card can easily take it. After restarting the game, I had a black screen and couldn't even see the menu. How I solved the problem:
- uninstall the game from steam
- Go to steam folder, then steamapp, then common and finally search for the Ducktales Remastered and delete it (it's supposed to be the last files that weren't deleted on computer)
- Return to steam, download and reinstall the game. The resolution should have reset.
- I didn't tried to change the resolution after that bug. Wonder if it's going to be corrected because I'm sure it doesn't come from my laptop...

It worked just fine for me, hope it works for you.

It worked just fine for me, hope it works for you.

if that works, then instead of deinstalling all they really need to do is find the settings data.
remove that, hit the libarys properties on the game and check cache as itll redownload the settings file, much easier then redownloading everything.

Wow just bought this and that's INSANE.
Why on earth does this game have so many issues with such a simple basic thing... Resolution is completely bugged here, can't even play the game.
Already had that exact same bug with Shantae Half Genie Hero and it definitely wasn't an issue on my computer's end... Knew I should've stayed away, guess it's on me.

And I've found a workaround. Only way I can play this game is if I delete the "engine" file before starting it.
Everytime I start and quit the game, it overwrites itself into something stupid and no matter how much I try to modify it, it'll just rewrite itself as soon as the game starts up again.
