steam cloud save games not available

In the last few days I installed Steam on my desktop PC with Windows 11 and then the current version of Blade of Destiny via Steam. Playing, saving and synchronizing works perfectly there.
One day later I installed the same Steam and Blade of Destiny on my laptop, also with Windows 11.
From my point of view, I did everything identically for both installations. The cloud synchronization on the laptop also works, I can see the cloud save games in the Steam directory locally on the laptop.
When I start Blade of Destiny on the laptop, however, I don't see the "Steam Cloud" option to activate under "Load Game". So the checkbox isn't displayed at all. That means I only see the local saved games.
Reinstalling several times, restarting, deactivating/activating cloud sync in Steam didn't help.
I also think that the problem isn't with Steam, because the saved games are synchronized. The checkbox is just missing in the "Load Game" dialog, which is why the game can't find the cloud saved games.
I'm grateful for any tips.
