Solo Leveling:Arise

Solo Leveling:Arise

The REAL reason behind the delay.
As most of you already know, and for those who still don't, the release of Solo Leveling: Arise on steam was supposed to be the 7-8 May. Then it has been changed to Q3 2024.

As many other competitors do, Netmarble has decided to publish their PC version on their own launcher. If you are familiar with third-party launchers (Like EA, uPlay, BattleNet etc...) then you should know they do that to avoid the 30% take Steam takes from purchases.

So yeah, Netmarble has decided to maximize profits on PC through their own launcher and only then, after some time, release it to steam as well. That way, they can reel in most big fishes that don't like to wait and don't mind leaving steam. Then after a while they'll cast a net to get all the left out potential players.

I figure it was also to avoid negative review from the Steam playerbase.
steam still gets their commission if the game is sold here ffs
Or the code behind porting to PC vs Android requires more time. Remember all the steam reviews of, "Terrible port?" for games that try releasing on all platforms at once?

game is f2p... unless steam takes 30% off in-game purchase not only from steam store page, if they don't then this reason is invalid... how ever how buggy & extremely over the top p2w the game is, i'd sooner believe it being due to bad reviews & pure hatred that would follow this game... (i've seen games go from f2p friendly to heavily p2w over time, but i have never seen any gacha games i've played (and i played a lot), go p2w on such extreme lvl from the very start as SL did, but then again it's SL title so i guess they figured they can get away with it since it's such a popular title...

well Netmarble seems to forget first rule of physics: "if it's not on steam, it doesn't exist", i am waiting on that game tho as it's unplayable on phone at "stable" 14 fps on note20
Excuse me :x what is " Q3 " ?

There's no PvP so the game has zero P2W.

Whatever the reason it's dumb af. Their website where you must go to download is giving me a bunch of sus notifs so good job Netmarble. Ain't no way I am trusting that. I would have been playing already otherwise.

They ported the game to the PC a while ago. I played it months ago on windows 10. Reached the max level (which was 80 at the time), then I quit because the P2W and grind was just too annoying after a while.

Netmarble just wants to funnel everyone towards the platform where they get 100% of the sales first. Using Steam as a second soft launch or another marketing campaign afterwards.

Part of. The real reason is the porting for the steam SDK for our own systems implemented in the game.

You can't. They haven't brought the game to Steam yet. And it won't be coming to Steam until at least 2025 (at least this is the new stated date on the store page). It's available to PC players, you just have to find it off of Steam.

You haven't played much mobile games, have you? OF course there is. The bosses will be too hard to beat unless you grind for a month PER. Oh, but you can make that easier. All it is is 3 dollars for this PREMIUM item that will totally help you beat this boss. Of course its one use, so you'll have to purchase it again for the next boss. And the one after that... and the one after that...
