Well, for good reason. Most people on the game are just, how should I put it.....not the most likeable. Rudeness everywhere, the sexual conversations which I think most people don't want to hear in a game at least, and the utterly childishness of it all (this obviously doesn't count for everyone, but this is what I see usually). Plus, if you're in PvP your mostly going to find ragers, and honestly there's no point in chatting with them either obviously, so it's hard to communicate with anyone pretty much.

Sorry, I can't really speak on the behalf of Grandchase cause i'd never layed eyes on it or played it. For the guild the guild thing I don't blame them for not joining guilds, cause it seems like if your not some of the original members that helped start it the guild in the first place then there wouldn't be any point in having a lot of other people, "I'd rather have only a few trusty companions than a bunch of random others I don't know that probably wouldn't care about the guild anyway."

Also, another reason in my eyes would be most people don't that want to be in guilds don't even do it for the people they just do it for the stats (guilty is charged) although, honestly I "tried" talking to everyone and getting along with them, but everytime I tried to start a conversation it would end in two ways: 1) I kid you not complete silence until I stopped talking, it could have been one sentence for ex. me asking where something is and then no one tells me anything they just leave me behind. 2) I get completely ignored for reasons unknown,so 100% of the time I would just sit there doing nothing in the guild just taking up space, so I eventually left, didn't matter to me anyhow I was more of a solo player anyway I just tried it out and tried to be friendly and see how it went. Also this can twisted around too. Sometimes the owners usually of the guild don't even care what people they let in just as long as they have a lot of people, which I refer to as "corrupt guilds"

Another thing is .....you have to be cautious of "who" you let in in the first place, cause if you let the wrong person in there he/she can ruin that entire guild I kid you not.

Just saying guilds are nothing special to begin with in my opinion especially with the lack of
"decent" communcation anyhow, the only way you might get someone to talk to you are these three things and you might not like it.

1) These people "really" know a lot about this, so if you don't know your stuff you're going to be left behind lacking in major communication aspect in my book (and this actually goes for any game as a matter of fact), which this would include me since I don't play the game anymore anyhow.

2) Anything involving sexual activity, quite popular for some reason on this game.

3) Making fun of someone else in game for reasons unknown just trying to be an "attention grabber" which is actually boring and not really a conversation starter it's just lame.

Yeah i rather just have a hello from people atleast or give me pointers where something can be kinda like with dota 2 people kept harrssing me because i sucked at the game but atleast it was a responce but on this game its like everyone i see is a robot or just quite but for the sexual stuff i rather have people go to the mature games for that i don't know i heard mmos post to be a soical experiance but i am doubting it

Elsword is a busy game - you've always got work to do. So people tend to play the game instead of "wasting" time socializing. If you want to socialize, just go in a dungeon or spar to find someone you might become friends with.
if you want to socialize you probably want to go into sparing or find a talkative guild.

actually its not uncommon in a mmo like this as others have stated before people are always just playing the game because theres a lot to be done especially right now with the grand chase event and all its really either find a guild you connect with or have a friend who plays the game too which can be said for a lot of games nowadays

Ever thought of voice chat...?

With the exception of people wanting attention by spamming Megaphones (Turns out the moderators always have something worthwhile to say), the game is naturally silence. The only time I have ever seen people talk would be a no rank asking an S or higher rank for help through PvP.
Then there are times where someone would say something random and no one cares.
The worst part of it all is someone asking you for to be their boy/girlfriend (Some guy assumed I was a girl because I was using Aisha... dastard)... at least before the Couple system was a thing, where now you can just reject. :hthappy:

IT is a busy game alright but, its based on social interaction as well bro.only those who believe that social interaction is "wasting" in this game are quite delusional themselves.social interaction is integrated and promoted in almost every main part in this game, you don't have to all the time but at sum point you will partake of social interaction unconciously wether to progress or out of casual moments with others .if it wasn't for the insert of scocial interaction ,this game would of died years ago and will be a failure to that of all MMORPG gaming.if your not the type for social interaction_then you my good lad ,should go back to playing games like super mario and tetris where there is no need for 'wasting" time socializing.

Earlier today, when I was chatting with another player, I noticed the amount of text you can have in one chat message is extremely limited (I thought my messages were fairly short but several times I had to rewrite last few words) and messages even fades away after a short time (I know how to make them reappear but that's not the point). It made me feel this game discourages using chat or socializing with other players. Luckily I'm more casual Elsword player so I don't have plans to join a guild in this game.

Honestly, it would be a big help if everyone would communicate a lot more, probably if people see things as more of a "fun" aspect instead of looking at things like a "chore" I mean you gotta admit in Elsword you gotta put in a lot of work.
