Sorry, I can't really speak on the behalf of Grandchase cause i'd never layed eyes on it or played it. For the guild the guild thing I don't blame them for not joining guilds, cause it seems like if your not some of the original members that helped start it the guild in the first place then there wouldn't be any point in having a lot of other people, "I'd rather have only a few trusty companions than a bunch of random others I don't know that probably wouldn't care about the guild anyway."
Also, another reason in my eyes would be most people don't that want to be in guilds don't even do it for the people they just do it for the stats (guilty is charged) although, honestly I "tried" talking to everyone and getting along with them, but everytime I tried to start a conversation it would end in two ways: 1) I kid you not complete silence until I stopped talking, it could have been one sentence for ex. me asking where something is and then no one tells me anything they just leave me behind. 2) I get completely ignored for reasons unknown,so 100% of the time I would just sit there doing nothing in the guild just taking up space, so I eventually left, didn't matter to me anyhow I was more of a solo player anyway I just tried it out and tried to be friendly and see how it went. Also this can twisted around too. Sometimes the owners usually of the guild don't even care what people they let in just as long as they have a lot of people, which I refer to as "corrupt guilds"
Another thing is .....you have to be cautious of "who" you let in in the first place, cause if you let the wrong person in there he/she can ruin that entire guild I kid you not.
Just saying guilds are nothing special to begin with in my opinion especially with the lack of
"decent" communcation anyhow, the only way you might get someone to talk to you are these three things and you might not like it.
1) These people "really" know a lot about this, so if you don't know your stuff you're going to be left behind lacking in major communication aspect in my book (and this actually goes for any game as a matter of fact), which this would include me since I don't play the game anymore anyhow.
2) Anything involving sexual activity, quite popular for some reason on this game.
3) Making fun of someone else in game for reasons unknown just trying to be an "attention grabber" which is actually boring and not really a conversation starter it's just lame.
Yeah i rather just have a hello from people atleast or give me pointers where something can be kinda like with dota 2 people kept harrssing me because i sucked at the game but atleast it was a responce but on this game its like everyone i see is a robot or just quite but for the sexual stuff i rather have people go to the mature games for that i don't know i heard mmos post to be a soical experiance but i am doubting it
Then there are times where someone would say something random and no one cares.
The worst part of it all is someone asking you for to be their boy/girlfriend (Some guy assumed I was a girl because I was using Aisha... dastard)... at least before the Couple system was a thing, where now you can just reject.
Honestly, it would be a big help if everyone would communicate a lot more, probably if people see things as more of a "fun" aspect instead of looking at things like a "chore" I mean you gotta admit in Elsword you gotta put in a lot of work.
