VC has atrociously high damage output that makes you wonder why they haven't nerfed him yet (and he still has buffs that are yet to be received in our version...)
BM's damage imo is a little bit higher than RF as far as combos and actives concerned (ZZZX has higher multipliers and access to noted berserker blade), and he has wolf fang (which returns mana on miss, a lot of BMs spam me with this despite what they say) to help with catching.
All in all though, you should be less concerned with "catching" (how do I get them in a combo) and more with making smart approaches (how do I avoid their attacks when approaching). I can't tell you how many times I've fought Elsword/Raven classes that complain about not being able to approach me, when they run into my EM's XXvX or even >>^Z every single time. You have a flexibile mobility option since you can change your momentum shift into a dash while already in the area, where Rena (for now), Aisha and Eve (once she uses up her glides, she's a sitting duck in the air, but most of them won't leave themselves that open) don't have that luxury.
That being said, Raven/BM is my first character I play, and I find him very interesting to use in both PVE/PVP. Don't forget skills in base job as they're very helpful in PVP (you see, Burning Rush / Breaking Fist has Super Armor status); Ground Impact has low mana cost (for extending combos) and Earth Break has stun chance with skill note (which is easy to obtain, to catch enemy and/or stun them).
Objectively, some of the classes will just flatout perform the others, no ifs, ands, or buts. RF or BM can never hope to reach the amount of absurd damage VC is capable of doing or the BS he's capable of (getting free catches off the enemy's stun for one thing...)
That being said, your class choice should come down to preference of how they play or aesthetics. I mean honestly, I've played RF and VC in PvE, and all it came down to was the skills they used (using charged bolt/wild charge instead of revolver cannon), and the same applies for PvP to an extent.
