[Solution] Can play on Elsword but can't download it on Steam?

This is for those who can play Elsword but cannot download it due to the region-lock issues at the Store Page. Well, I've heard that some states in US cannot download the game so, I guess this is for you too.

Yesterday I've tested it with my friend copying local files. So here's the following solution:

- Find someone (Steam-Chat, Skype, personally, etc) who has got Elsword Installed on Steam;
- Copy from your friend's PC his Elsword steam folder + appmanifest_237310 file to your PC's steam directories (respectively on the same places as they were on your friend's PC);
- Restart Steam.

On my case, at first glance it didn't appear Elsword on my Library. But then I went to the Steam Store and then back to the Library, and it appeared Elsword on my steam Library.

I thought the other option was changing IP, but changing IP on steam is bannable.

It's not a reason of staying annonymous. The reason why they ban using Steam while changing/hiding your IP is because it's related to cash transactions. For example, steam games in Brasil (using brasilian IP means you'll use brasilian currency) are 3 times cheaper than in UK or US, some people try to change IP to another region were those games are cheaper and buy them easily at a very cheap price, however Steam got aware of that and decided to ban people who change/hide their IPs.

Some people say that you can be on Steam with your IP camuflated and you only get banned if you buy something on Steam with your IP hidden/changed. Still, I don't recommend that.

I can confirm 100% that you CAN NOT play NA Elsword from regions, which have their own Elsword server.

For example, Indonesia has its own server so you CAN NOT play NA Elsword, even if you downloaded the game directly from web.

I just got my support ticket resolved and that was what the answer I got from the customer support. What a , I can't take advantage from the NAGC migration program. :(

What if none of these work? Whenever I try to download it, a pop up saying "Checking for updates.." then "Searching for Steam game updates.." and reloads the page and does not download the game.

Got a similar problem with Nosgoth, ... I don't remember well but I guess that it was related to something with Family Share or you can try restarting Steam.

Eh, I think that that's not the problem. I downloaded ELSWORD Online's version and said that it was restricted, and I am in the Philippines so I have to download the Philippine version, which sucks because I wish to play with people who chat in English ;w;
