Because Diangelion's damage even at 700k cp can get out-damaged by better dps characters. As a 900k cp Diangelion main I get out damaged by a 400k cp Knight Emperor as an example.
There is just simply better support and dps characters to accept into the party then a Diangelion. So you won't get much attention.
Diangelion isn't the worst support character, but it is just that other characters do his job better.
Diangelion's damage needs to be buffed, but it is really hard. Since if they get the damage that Innocent and Catastrophe have. They would be the best job in Luciel uncontested making the two other jobs pretty useless.(Do not quote me on this)
Diangelion isn't bad at anything. Diangelion is just good at being in the middle between the two other jobs. Having good clearing and bossing, but not the best. (Also damage is low)
I might not have the qualifications to say this, but I asked someone whom was at 1.5m CP (Now 2.5m?) asking the if I should swap jobs. They answered with pretty much this.
