Hmm the fact you are unable to access the game is odd... But based on the time you sent the post -- I'd have to say -- yes the odds of the game being under maintanance when you sent the post being extremely high... Are you still unable to access the game now that its up?
As for the Steam Version of Elsword -- I'm not sure if you are able to unlink your Elsword account from Steam... Would you be able to submit a ticket to the Elsword Support :)?
Finally, If you live in a country covered by INT and can access the Steam Elsword Page under normal circumstances, you should be accessing the INT server.
No, I can access the game now. It is probably due to maintenance.
I had submitted a ticket multiple times in the past, but it was always being forwarded to many different GMs before they just stop responding entirely while telling me that they are not the one who made the steam port. I do not know if it will be different today.
I'm currently living in Australia so I can access the game just fine, but I was originally living in one of the Asian countries, and the game was innaccessible under those regions.
Its alright, its just that I wonder why is it impossible to unlink one's account from steam in the first place anyway. its always the same answer: that the one who handles the steam port is no longer with them, which is a very dumb answer. maybe you know of some way to assist in this problem?
To be honest, I actually had both the NA and INT accounts, but I preferred to play in an INT server due to its slightly lower latency (and that I wasn't able to play in an NA server for a long time due to the ban from outside the NA region.)
(now im dowloanding broswer version this will help?)
if he wasn't there, then it is highly likely that you guys are on a different server region.
do keep in mind that Elsword has two server regions - Solace Server for American (and quite possibly a couple Europeans), and Gaia Server for mostly Asians.
if you want to play with your friend on Malaysia, I'd suggest that you ask your friend to create a new account in your stead, or you use a VPN to connect to any Asian region and register there (as where your account will be connected to which server region depends on where you are when you were registering.
