Well...yeah no
So first off we have a game heavily dependent on how much you invest in the store apparently judging by how much you need to spend to unlock stuff. Then you have a pvp system that not only pits newer players against max level players but is apparently based around stun locks.

Got better things to spend my time on then this crap. May anyone curious on this game who reads this be warned...it ain't worth it.

A shame, hope you find a better game that's more to your liking.

If you're looking for a 2d brawler like Elsword that isn't dependent on the Item Mall, I would recommend giving Dungeon Fighter Online a look.

Try out Soul Worker Online it just came out couple of days ago; and yea this game is pretty much dead, the only reason to still play it would just to revisit to see some new major content IF you're an veterans player.

Why would you want to deter others away? People may not have the same experience as yours, especially new players. Giving them a negative mindset before they play the game, isn't going to help anyone. I understand that you're not satisfied with the game, but do you really have to lol? I'm not entirely satisfied and many others are, but saying all of these things to attempt to get people to stop playing will amount to nothing for you. Just saying! :/

though given, the pvp can be made extremely easy by spending real money on items that can upgrade your equipment and, in the end, you just spam 1-2 hit combos to keep someone stun locked until they die, that sort of pvp is terrible. the gameplay outside of pvp can be just as unbalanced and it's probably the least cooperative co-op game i've seen. there's actually a large number of games of the same genre with more interesting combat mechanics, less pay to win vibes, more balanced pvp and/or better cooperative gameplay. as for a good reason to deter others away, it's mainly a warning that the game is unbalanced and you should make sure you like the game before spending money on it (because those cash items actually give stats like a 2nd layer of equipment that applies in pvp and pve content, and it's not cheap)

You can do this pretty early on too, even without spending money it seems. After trying dungeon fighters I realized the female gunner...is basically a proto version of Rose. So after coming back and trying Rose some more until I unlocked her Metal Heart...well the sub machine guns and gale force combo basically stun locks even high level players. Only thing is high level players basiclaly one shot once they manage to get a hit in, but until then it's spam X and then use gale force when he is ready.

If this was a new game I would be more forgiving as no game is perfect on launch. But it's been out for some time, the systems are broken, and it's honestly not that good of a beat them up since the dungeons are pretty easy and there are enough stun combos to make even sup par gear work. Maybe the game gets better much later on, but I've always had the mindset that a game should be legit fun once you settle in from start to finish.

If I recall this is a korean MMO and has all the hallmarks of one. Very heavy on the mall shop, and actually pretty light on the combat and content. I like the character designs and the concept of the game, but the way the game itself is built leaves...almost everything to be desired. The UI is horrible and bland, the levels are flat and far to small, the combat is pretty dull actually (and I LOVE mech based characters, but I find Rose boring), and the list goes on.

It's not the most horrible F2P I've ever seen, but almost every aspect of the game leaves me feeling that it could have been done better.

Wow...that was a fail of the english language.

First off it isn't up to me if I lose in pvp when my attacks are doing scratch damage and the level 99 psycic guy kills me with a screen wide move that one shots me. Or the multitude of swordsmen/women who stun lock and kill me in one combo. I've had ONE match with someone even close to my range, and it was close but yes I won. But most games have at least an attempt to tier the players.

The thing is, as a lower player how did I win? Stun lock the other player over and over. That isn't good pvp. Almost every GOOD fighting game I have ever playerd either doesn't let you stun lock or gives you ways to combo break out of them. Fas as I have been able to research ...Elsword doesn't.

Finally, I've leveled a few characters past their first job...and the balance between them is broken as hell. Chung has almost no power, Eve is better balanced it feels like, and Rose is just broken OP it seems since I rip levels to shreads and stun lock players with her SMGs. I might try this Soul worker game...but I might just go back to FF14 instead. Was just looking for something to mix it up a little with.
