Can't log in with an existing account
I played elsword for quite a while now using the official launcher but one day it won't let me launch the game anymore. Which leads me to steam, then steam decided to force me to register and account instead of allowing me to login to my account.
P.S. I changed my steam email to be the same as my elsword email and it still does not allow me to login.

Wdym "one day it wint let me launch the game"? Can you still log onto the official launcher? We should solve that first lol.

Second, did you make a new account through the steam registration and then changed that new registered email to match ur previous Elsword email so that you could log in? I just want to confirm that I'm reading this right cuz its kinda confusing tbh. But if thats the case then it probably wont work since it's a one-time link to the account and not through email. If you have a Steam Elsword email which was for instance: KOGGames@gmail.com (which u just regiestered) and u wanted to play on KillerCombo@hotmail.com insstead because its you real account then changing the first email to the second won't let you play your main account on steam. Since the account you used to first log in through Steam must match that same email you registered with I believe. Yeah it's kinda dumb and complicated but what can you do....I hope they fix this soon (if I'm wrong tho pls lmk)

No, I did not make a new account through the steam registration cuz i've heard its irreversible. Second, I changed my steam email to match my current elsword account's email just in case.
Third, I don't see the option to let me login into an existing account when i launch elsword on steam.Instead, the steam elsword launcher forces me to register a new one which i do not want to do.

Changing ur steam email won't do anything man. If you haven't registered through Steam or linked an account to Steam already then you should be all set. You are able to login only once through Steam so be careful not to put in the wrong email.

Head over to your Steam Library, right click Elsword, click Properties, and then click on the 2nd or 3rd tab down to where it says "Verify Game Files/Integroty of Game files" (forgot what it was called). After you do that then I believe it should work since it was the case for another person who had the same same problem as you. If it doesn't work then please lmk!

Doesn't work man, tried it alrdy. It still forces me to register an account rather than allowing me to login.

Well ♥♥♥♥...uhhh, try contacting customer support then:

httsp:/support.koggames.com/

You could always go to the main website tho and go to the media section to use the manual patch download to see if that would work...other than that i got nothing dude...sorry

Nah its fine, tried the manual patch ages ago and still didn't work. Thats why i came to steam for it but since it doesn't work, guess i'm not playing.

P.s. no offense but elsword's customer support is ♥♥♥♥. All they do is give the same advice as everyone would give. After i told them it doesn't work, they sat there and did nothing just like they did to the rest of the players who faced similar problems. I saw a few posts literally 4 years ago and they still did not bother to fix it.

Yeah kinda sad to hear and say but thats how any MMORPG is. If you happen to stop playing after xxx amount of years and literally forget the email you originally used the developers, GMs etc basically dont have a back-up log of all that stuff. So in future gaming would suggest having a Notepad and write down all the games, emails you use and passwords for future reference incase you forget. (We're all human and forget + make mistakes) I won't champion KOG and say they are completely innocent either if they keep a back-up hard drive of some sort for emails we used then it would help alot with their customer support reps.

But sorry you cant play if you cant find a fix for your problem.
