RadeonPRO problem?
turning it off fixed framerate & slow-motion issues (AMD HD6870)

What it says. I've had problems with framerate in the graveyand level and some others, with the slow motion effect, as many people have. No idea why, but turning off RadeonPRO (an alternative to the regular Control Panel that has more options) and using fraps to check fps everything is fine now.

RadeonPro is a great tool, it helps me out in a lot of games. But I think I had another that just didn't work right with it, either (can't remember which arg). I don't know *why* it would be causing issues, because it does even when I have everything on default, so it should be no different than the regular control panel settings.

The Krypt is a good place to test FPS when you are tweaking. I was getting 25 before, now I get 60. Same with other levels that were problems. I don't get it.

Anyway, I know a lot of AMD people use it, so if you are turn it off and see if it fixes your issues. I'm going to msg or post on facebook about it to them, this is weird.

HD6870 1GB, Phenom II x6 3.2ghz, 12GB DDR3 1333, Win7 64-bit, 13.4 Catalyst drivers.

I have the same problem, but not using radeonPRO, only using the default catalyst control center. The graveyard level lags like hell and switching characters in tag mode also lags alot.

edit: also have hd 6870

Here are my 3D settings, and I'm using the 13.4 drivers:

AA Mode: Use App Settings
AA Samples: Use App Settings
Filter: Standard
AA Method: Multisampling
Morphological Filtering: Off

AF Filtering Mode: Use App Settings
AF Filtering Level: Use App Settings
Texture Filtering Quality: Standard
Surface Format Optimization: On

Wait for Vert Refresh: On, unless app specifies
OpenGL Triple Buffering: Off

Tessellation Mode: Amd Optimized
Max Tessellation Level: Amd Optimized

Maybe try setting to match those? Good luck, this whole framerate/slowmo issue is really weird.

Thanks it think that solved my problem, had everything equal except wait for vertical refresh. Changed that and now no more slowdowns on graveyard or while tagging

Uh... how do I disable RadeonPRO?

It's a program you can use that gives you a lot more options with your AMD card. If you are using it you just right-click the icon and pick to exit the program. I'm guessing you aren't though or you wouldn't be asking lol.

You should get it, though. It caused it issues with MK for me, but it was fine for most people. Overall it's a fantastic program and lets you do cool stuff like enable FXAA or ambient occlusion in games that don't support them normally. If you have an AMD card, you NEED it to get the most out of it:
