Far Cry 2 was fantastic. I played on infamous without using heals and had the best time of any shooter. Nothing like limping back to base only to be ambushed and your weapon breaking.

I'd rate them FC2 > 1 > Blood Dragon > 4 > 3 > 5.

I think my problem with 3 and above is that everything just feels the same. It's another camp with the same number of enemies, terrible AI and if lucky a wild animal can take over the camp.

Far Cry 5 but for just for one moment in the game. I love how the game pulls the rug from under you if you were expecting the game to just be lazy and were blasting through mindlessly in the Jacob seed kidnapping segments. It was absolutely genius

Absolutely unironically Far Cry 2. Then Blood Dragon and after it Far Cry 5

Farcry 2... When it was still Farcry. They had such a good start with that one then it just started getting more goofy with each game. 3 was ok but it still didn't have that same hardcore feel that 2 had. 2 is why people started playing Farcry. 6 is why they stopped.

Far cry 3. The following games were way too bloated with random events, collectible, point of interest and so on... Far cry 3 was straight to the point, go and kill those mf's maybe spend some time hunting and the story was fun, tho everything after Vaas was meh. It was a game that respected my time and i can't say the same for 4 and 5.
It's been too long i played 1 and 2, but i do remember being amazed by far cry 1 at the time, i doubt i would enjoy a replay tho.

2 was best until 5 came out. 2 has better mechanics, but 5 is all around best experience. I wish i was able to play 5 on PC first just so i could mod that god awful "make the world barren" mechanic those geniuses thought was a good idea.

Honestly thats a difficult decision because I like them all to some extent, but I would say that FC3 is my favorite so far of them all. The animals in 3 and the fires were intense and were definitely out to hunt you. FarCry Primal is another one I haven't yet finished but had a lot of fun in. 5 had an ok world but the story forcing you to get captured so often really ruined that one for me, but perhaps its redemption is FCND. I havent played or seen anything about 6 yet so this one is still up in the air, but i hope its better overall than the last 3 or so games in the series.

imo FC2 because it is the innovator, FC3,4,5,6 are like evolution of FC2.

FC2>FC1>FC3 , haven't finished the rest and won't ever. So boring. They start good, story seems interesting, nice graphics and then you get lost in huge maps with boring things to do and collect. They are not even the same genre anymore, FC1+2 were fps, the rest are action adventures/open world shooters, can't even decide what they are.
