I dont know which was the best. 1,2,3,4 are too long in the past, I can barely remember them.
But to me the most fun were 4,5 and 1,2
And for sure the worst Far Cry was New Dawn. For me personally.

Hot take: fc new dawn was my favorite. The graphics were amazing on ps4, it ran well, I loved the guns, I actually liked the story, and the combat was 10/10 for me.

Having now finished ND I have to agree, the story is one of the more coherent in FC and the combat system was bang on - I especially loved the lack of button-mash boss encounters.

Needed more content though. FC3 had poor story, annoying boss scenes, decent combat, too many bugs - but it had a good amount of content. I spent 40 hours in FC3 having fun while completing the story, I spent 40 hours in ND pissing around so that I could level up to complete the story.

To me, at the moment the list goes from best to worst : Far Cry 5, Far Cry 4, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 6, Far Cry New Dawn, Far Cry 2. I am 12 hours playtime in Far Cry 6, I haven't played the original Far Cry or Primal.

Besides farcry 1 which for very dated reasons ...any farcry is better than this one. Between what ubisoft has become and over saturation of the franchise I think this is my last farcry.

Interesting results, I suppose you can merge Far Cry Instincts Predator in with Far Cry 1, but we need to give the old-school console gamers some street cred to be fair. Far Cry 3 was a great game, so I think it's a great choice.

The Far Cry 4 result is interesting. It was a really great game, and the co-op aspect worked well also. The graphics were great and the game world was really well done. I even enjoyed the Yeti add-on content. It's possible that many people skipped that game due to burnout on the series, or perhaps people migrated to other games that year (2014) like Destiny, Titanfall, GTA5 and CoD Advanced Warfare, or if they went back to some 2013 games like Battlefield 3 and CoD: Ghosts. I'm assuming that most Far Cry fans would be into these other games.

Another FC which is really peculiar is FC2 due of the mechanics, played with the large mod a couple of years back and it is worth it too.

However FC5 is top!

I'm currently playing it and all I ever hear is really lame imperial fascist man music when passing/raiding govt locations.
It probably doesn't help that I can easily run faster than horses and most cars with only some of the parkour gear.

also the parachute cant be implemented lamer!
