Why do people talk negative about Far Cry 6, I actually enjoy it.

I'm 2 hours in but so far the UI is worse than New Dawn, e.g. why do I have to go to the other side of the keyboard to change bullet type when in their previous game I could just click on the one I wanted?? Why change camera from Z to X? etc.

Also I don't mind it being woke or whatever, but why is the alternative clothing looks just reskinning it to another clothing? Are my pants trans now? I don't get it.

The AI is hilariously bad.

They are more of a danger to each other and themselves than the player is.

It looks like a big dumb stupid game where I can run around space-Cuba and shoot people in coop. So like basically Skyrim with assault rifles.

That's what I'm looking for and why I bought it. If I get that, I will be a very happy, big dumb stupid idiot who is so happy he wrote it twice in one sentence.

I think one of the big reasons is the skill system, look at the old parts, there you have huge skill systems and every single point changed the game somehow. In the current game you only have your 6 equipment slots, and there is no advantage to wearing the full set. The rest you get for free: wingsuit, climbing hook and so on.

Another reason in my opinion is the AI, which is incredibly stupid, e.g. you stand in the way and the NPCs run on or against fences or something, the opponents crash their cars when turning or drive down a bridge.

And the last reason is in my opinion the setting, the old parts had somehow more charm, here in the sixth part it just seems so slapped together, the story does not captivate at all, because there are hardly any blatant twists, and somehow you know everything, even without having played the story, some revolution, some family is behind it again and a dictator with child somehow does not stand out.

and played the hell out of it

best far cry to date

yea some missions are silly and stupid

but lots of things to do other then the silly missions

it does help if ya got a good GPU with 12 gig of v ram

Trans everything, the beginning menu choices where not only is it for deaf, blind, and colorblind, but settings so that people with brains that can not handle games can play a damn game?!?!?!? Seriously? Also, a fascist dictatorship is not gonna kick someone out of the military for being Trans. They would just kill them.

It goes too far and Ubisoft is more worried about woke points than a great game.

played it for 3 hours now and it feels like multiple teams worked on the same game with different ideas what it's supposed to be in the end. not sure if they even had a game director but the mix of dark / funny and flat out silly tones don't make me really invest into the story or their confilct.

the graphics are nice to look at but then again very generic in most places. maybe it's better later on so...

This is literally a topic asking why people don't like FC6... What kind of replies were you expecting?

I'm fine with a running around, sneak and shoot people and clear camps with some story missions with gimmicks for flavor.
The reality is that everything here that actually matters is noticeably worse than 5.
Performance is worse. Some kind of script breaks framerates randomly for no good reason.

No reason because the AI is an example of the further regression of AI over time in games. A true mystery that today games that rely entirely on combat manage to plop NPCs in areas and give them basic routines and a barebone hostile package that just looks ridiculous and plays terrible. Like they put absolutely no effort in it it's like everyone forgot about how to design AIs and rely solely on game engines doing the job for them.

The aesthetics and story is a subjective matter i'm fine with it, others might not but it's irrelevant at this point when the core aspect of the game which is getting into gunfights is so terrible.
