Amazing that this thread is nearly 1 year old and it's still an issue. It is insane how terrible Ubisoft is at doing their job. I got assassin's Creed 2 the other day - turns out it has to connect to some dead servers in order to work - so that product is useless. Assassin's Creed 1 stutters every 30 seconds which is because it tries to connect to dead servers. The solution there is disabling your internet entirely. Far cry 3 will also attempt to connect to dead servers. You'd think a mega corporation with thousands of employees could fix issues like this but nah. Pirating their stuff is totally justified imho
