the problem is the ghostly silent pops up asap after the interrogation but deception pops up at the game ending
Maybe there's a glitch with the "Softly Softly" glitch that causes Deception to pop instead? I had 395 steps my first play. I know Liquid said he got it on his second playthrough, which I assume is when he went for the Softly Softly achievement before it was revealed to be bugged.
It also explains why it pops at the end as opposed to the end of the interrogation scene?
I think I had over 700 steps.
Hmm... well, then I guess steps might not count towards it, but it may still explain why it pops at the end (the code or whatever telling to show the achievement if X requirements are met is set for the end as opposed to after the interrogation scene.) Doesn't explain the people who claim to have done both in a single run though.
We are aware that the "softly softly" achievement is not getting activated properly. We are working on a patch (as discussed in other threads). As for the "Deception" achievement... it is awarded by responding with a lie every chance you get. :)
