Plant proximity explosive without blowing myself up?

Does anyone have the pale duck explosive?

It's a remote explosive. Unfortunately the flashing light it emits easily gives it away to guards. Still a nice novelty item though.

I have it but haven't used it. I thought it was a proximity mine specifically meant to attract guards though...

Maybe so, I haven't really looked tbh. I just remember using it once as a concealed ICA item to use in one of the safe roams.

Never the less guards pick it up when I'd came back to detonate it.

That would make sense though now.

Yea its a pretty useless preorder exclusive if your going the stealth way. Even though its remote detonated, you cannot plant it anywhere.. like in that camcorder the reporter has.

I mean, if it has a detonator, it wouldn't be a proximity explosive. So if they picked it up and didn't get blown up, it must be remote detonated.

It always seemed like more of a novelty to me though, which is why I haven't used it. I don't really see a use for it.

Yes it is remote detonated it.

I just remember planting it, then setting off an alarm so Victor would head to his safe room. Then it was gone before he got there.

I mean, remote explosives have always been a go-to way to destroy items and cause "accidents" in the series. Well, since Blood Money at least.

If you're blowing yourself up, you're probably being too slow after planting the proximity mine. Once you hear that beep, you're dead if you're too close. So you need to be out of its range by the time it beeps.
