Get latest drivers (I got a decent bump from Nvidia this morning)
Reset your video card's driver control panel to default.
Re-run the performance test and accept
Tearing means you need to limit your framerate. Do use vsync. Hitman has two vsync settings - 30 and 60.
If you have 'smoothing' settings on your monitor/tv turn them off.
Correct about exclusive being true fullscreen. I typically get better performance in BW. BW is great if you use a TV for a monitor because TVs often want to switch to 30fps in FS.
I actually have overly bright gamma on mine, for whatever reason. And just like you, both Fullscren and E.F. have the same exact effect. The only way to get normal brightness levels is to put it in windowed.
No clue what the deal is with that. At least it doesn't do it in DX11.
About the tearing, it only happens in Exclusive Fullscreen, even with V-Sync. On the other hand, on Fullscreen (BW) I don't even need V-Sync and the game runs sharp.
I think moleface is here to corroborate the facts. The game is broken on DX12 and exclusive fullscreen.
It has been worse... Now I can play the game with no disconnects and with a good quality and above 70 FPS in most areas, but in fulscreen, DX11.
But I hope they implement DX and exclusive fullscreen properly because it sounds more like a polished and finished game...
