How do people have scores higher than mine on the leaderboard?
I've been doing escalation missions lately and running what apepars to me to be the shortest fastest route between me and target(s), never getting any of the debriefing penalties. And yet, there are people with staggered scores between the top and my score. Like, not simply highest cap score, but points incrementally thousands greater than mine. Are bonus points awarded for playing on purist mode or something, or beginning an escalation with higher mastery levels?

Could be how they have killed their target, or how quick they completed it.

I mean there are moments to shave off time, but how much more could you shave off to get t he 200k and even 190k points that are on the leaderboard? I just dont understand!

I do love how he ran through the map with a battle axe and eveyone was just like, "That's fine".

I am pretty sure that people just hack their games to kill the targets instantly, move very fast and the rest. Happens to almost all games with leader boards, I remeber in the Batman games people completing stealth maps in 2 seconds; which is of course impossible

There is a trainer out there that allows you to run very fast, teleport, be invisible, invincible and have super accuracy with infinite ammo and without reloading. I doubt that the online requirement is in any way supposed to prevent cheating.

Completing challenges for the first time gets you points, so there are ways to do it slower which unlock a heap, but they're kind of a one-shot deal.

edit: Actually if you don't finish a run it seems to queue the bonuses and trigger them when you next finish it. There's a good chance people are abusing this. I mean, I abused it to *finish* certain challenges (i.e. assassination approaches) so I didn't have to replay massive cutscenes (the therapy opportunity... * sigh *) but I wouldn't think of doing it in an escalation.

yeah i quit the sapienza mission a few times after i'd done assassination and discovery challenges only to have them all rack up after a successful completion :)
I'm the guy with the high score on the new one. Here's a video if you'd like to compare your playing...

yeah some guys are REALLY fast at doing this, insanely,
I did a contract and go the high score (actually double of the author's score)
but just a few minutes later somebody else beat my score,
not that it matters tough, its not like having a high score unlocks a new weapon XD

would be nice but also not nice if the high score leaderboards also contained replays. :-X
