How to enable gyro aiming with Steam Controller?
Apparently, it is a practically must to enable gyro aiming if using Steam Controller to play FPS games.

I have set up gyro to be used as a mouse in the Steam app itself, it works, and seems to be convenient.

However, in Hitman there are no settings for gyro, and I could not enable gyro aiming.

I assume people do set up and use gyro aiming in Hitman somehow. I would appreciate advice on that.

When tuning the Steam Controller, you will find a little icon under the controller's image. Click it to enter the Gyro settings. Pick "Mouse" for Style of input & pick whatever button to enable gyro. For sensitivity, most pick two ticks above zero but you can experiment.

Gyro is a must, even for 3rd person shooters. The Steam Controller is amazing when you get used to it. I configured mine to act as a default controller with Edge Spin but when I hold the Left Trigger to aim, the trackpad turns into a mouse + gyro aim to fine tune & headshot.

If you want, give my binding a try in the community bindings under "Harbi's binding // intutive 3rd person controls [ Edge spin + Gyro ]. 2 people are using it, hopefully more will follow.

How do you even manage to use steam controller for this game? The shoulder buttons are so stiff, and I just can't consistently run in game because the LB button is really stiff and hard to hold on for a long time.

^ I don't use the shoulder buttons. Stop treating it as a standard controller, thats what the back buttons are for. Mapping them to [ Run / Jump / Crouch / instinct ] makes them much more intuitive to use.
