Did they change the personality of 47 again?
By the dialogues, screenshots and videos he seems more relaxed, I remember the first games he was detached, then in Contracts he was a jerk, in Absolution he was more emotional and a bit softer. This last one he seems a bit more eloquent when disguised and less menacingly looking.

He's more or less the same stone cold killer he was in Blood Money, if you ask me. But the game hasn't spent much time on him as a character, at least not yet. He has very few lines in the cutscenes as well as the levels, and is mostly there as a vehicle for the player to control.

He does seem a little bit more muted here. But it makes him seem more human, imo. He seems like the calculating assassin he was always meant to be.

He was indeed a jerk in contracts, and again in Blood Money. In Absolution, it felt too story driven. He didn't seeem like 47 at all to me in that game. There was too much emotion.

If you've read the books at all, they give an interesting insight into the character. They may not be what the developers had in mind originally, but the books are licensed, and this rendition of 47 feels the most like the books to me. He's calm, calculating, and precise, but he still has a sort of subtle humanity to him. How he's capable of interacting with people, but still never getting attached to them in any way. Even the way he speaks to Diana in the prologue is with complete indifference.

I guess you never played Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. There has already been a lot of character development but most people have only played Blood Money.

Silent Assassin's 47 was far less emotional than Absolution's 47.

I do remember him being somewhat dissapointed with the chinese ♥♥♥♥♥ from the first game when he meets her again in that one guy's fortress.

agent 47 character is focused 100% on mission objective ,helping the chineese girl to escape , felt like under big stress from what happened in Romania labs , even the first movie portrayted that , silent assasin went into church and donated money to find some peace with what he was doing in the past , contracts (focused on the pain and agoney the assasin live while being on the run ), Blood money (strictly proffesional 100% focused cold murderer ) ,Absoultion went back and regret working in ICA , and the experience the girl went though (ICA relationship ends).
last Hitman ( story of the start of the relationship of hitman with ICA and how the world will change because what he was capable off )

the future for agent 47 im sure will focus on fighting against all other groups trying to replicate a geneticly modfied human beings capable of becoming killers . in my opinion.(already included in Blood money missions , and absolutions. no wonder they wanted to go back in time and stop talking another time about genetic modfied people .

Might want to read the plot for 2 again.

And there are more emotions than just anger and happiness.

To me, he seems like a completely different character from cut scenes to actual gameplay. Like gameplay it honestly feels like playing an empty box, just walking around killing people. Meh idk i can't explain it xD Cut scenes feel like watching a film, gameplay is just empty.

47's personality has always been kind of a ♥♥♥♥-show in terms of consistency. I just know he still vaguely respects Christianity so its only appropriate I act in character and drag my victims across town into the open grave in Sapienza for a proper burial.

Agent 47 doesn't really matter - I mean, he's got a literal barcode on the back of his neck. He's a generic cookie-cutter template of a tall impeccably-dressed contract killer, complete with menacing bald head. The story fleshed him out, but I always thought his character and the plot were supposed to take a backseat to the actual game. You can project anything you want onto him cuz he's a blank slate.

Blood Money was the best example of them shoehorning a plot into the game to justify the collection of levels they'd come up with. It's like they came up with the level ideas first, then tried to think of some way to tie them all together. Remember the White House mission where you had to take out the Vice President? I can imagine them sitting around trying to come up with a flimsy reason to let the player invade the White House and kill the vice president (uh, he's bad and stuff), or figuring out a plausible scenario to have him dress like Santa Claus or wear a creepy clown outfit. "Uh, what if there's a childrens' party? Or something? People still use party clowns, right?" etc.

It isn't a prequel, only the prologue is set before Absolution.

Nope. Don't need to. He felt a connection but he wasn't quite like Absolution's 47. You might want to tone down your holier-than-thou attitude.
