Elusive Target 9 won't eat the jam
Sneaked my way up to and into the room without killing anyone or getting spotted.
Sneaked back down stairs to cut the recordings before making the kill.
Got into the room, lured out and knocked out the guard.
Poisoned the jam and waited for Black Hat to go for another taste so I could knock out Whitecap and finish off Blackhat while he was puking, but he just refused to eat anymore.
He walked up to it many times over the half hour that I waited but never did anything.

Gave up and tried to lure one of them out of the room to knock him out and kill the target, but he just B-lined it to the pile of unconsious guards behind some furnature, far from where I threw my coin to distract him. Bodies were discovered and I lost my silent assassin rating for that run, forcing me to restart unless wish I give up aquiring the Outfit rewards from previous Hitman games.

I didn't get this game until elusive target 6 was active, I've read that the last reward is for 13 elusive targets kills, which leads me to believe there is obviously going to be a finite number of them, meaning I possibly only have 4 left so if I want these outfits I have to get silent assassin rating to score two points instead of one.

I understand that bugs happen and that it's only a costume at stake, but still. I could have failed and never been able to try it again if I had not knocked out all the guards in the previous room and they open fired.

It just wouldn't hurt to have a little more quality control in these missions especially if you only get one shot.

Worked my way back up to the same position and the target would still not eat the jam after it was poisoned.

I tried to lure one out of the room but alerted both of them when I used the keycard dressed as the security guard in the room with them who is in charge of holding the keycard.

I lured the suspicious Black Hat away from Whitecap, executed him silently and was awarded an unnoticed kill.
However since the target was suspicious of me, I was technically already "spotted" by the man who I had just killed while I was killing him and thus being unable to restart and this point, I failed the silent assassin rating.

Excellent work
Thanks a lot Io-Interactive.

See, that is EXACTLY why Elusive Targets are BULLCRAP ripoffs. It's a temporary bug. Like in Thailand, suddenly my targets became immune to melee attacks (no choking or thrown objects), which was a genuine problem for certain progression.

I had to keep exiting completely and start over a few times before the bug vanished. Do that with an elusive target, and you're screwed. Square Enix refuses to do a DAMNED thing about it. "You get what you pay for" is pretty much their screw-you attitude.

Yea I had that problem too,he went to the jam 4 times and nothing, then the other guy was backwards to us,I HAD MY SYRING EQUIPED and hitman decides to choque the hit instead of killing him silently, andd guess what, the other guy saw and ran and ask for help

The target did not eat the jam in my playthrough either. Such a shame because poisoning is my favourite way to kill the targets. So I lured out the guard and knocked out "white cap", but just as I want to shoot the target he turned around and saw me for a split second before I killed him...SA gone :-(

I think if the vicitm is the only one noticing you, you should get SA as well.

I choked the room out, then shot the target in his unconscious face.

I just went to poison the soda. Waited for whitecap to puke, then subdued the target on the chair, and then Whitecap. After that I just broke the targets neck. Finished silently....

I thought about how much more practical it would have been to just poison the person other than the target after the fact. It really would have been the easiest solution.

It's just kind of counter intuitive, firstly since the jar is poisonable, and secondly, the targest taste for that specific jam is of course is one of two refrences you have to confirm his idenitiy, the other refrence being his alias "Protagonist".

Based on observations, one would expect him to continue eating the jam when you see that he keeps going back to it over and over again.
It's just impossible to predict that he will suddenly stop eating the jam once it is poisoned, even though he still makes a point to walk over and stand infront of it.

So in hindsight, there are things I could have done differently, such as backtracking to find a second dose of poison to use on Whitecap instead.
However I don't have an excuse for why the guard with the keycard would be flaged as an intruder for useing the keycard entrusted to him.

I just think, as Gremlin.Bitten said, it's BULLCRAP. I wouldn't want a do-over for this, I mean I passed the mission, albeit in a way I had worked hard and was careful to prevent. I just feel like if these missions are one shot and the results are final, there should be better quality control. I cannot believe this was properly play tested prior to launch based on my experience with this mission.

The elusive target people liked to call "Bieber" drank his wine only once in some cases. Makes one think if some scripts are interfering with each other.

EDIT: Also, it seems that the jam on the table is not his favorite, some people heard him saying it's not the brand he likes which makes it look more like a hint:
"Hey, there's a glass of jam on the table over there, you must be in the right room".

You idiot. You were "Spotted" The second you used the keypad lock. As soon as they see you doing a suspcious activity, you are spotted. It has nothing to do with the "Unnoticed Kill" bonus. It has nothing to do with Io interactive, it has to do with you misunderstanding how the game works.

If there's an indicator on the keypad lock that suggests it's an illegal action, always do it when people are not looking.

Also, never kill an elusive target unless you are absolutely positive you can get away with it.

You are right, I missed the caution sign and that's on me, but your insult in unnessessary.
As I said, why would it be suspicious for a guard to use the keycard he is authorised to hold? That combined with the jam not being eaten after poisoning leads me to believe this was not carefully play tested.

Once again, Square Enix stupidity proves my point RE: Elusive Targets. AGAIN, an ever-ubiquitous bug totally SCREWED my one-shot-only attempt.

Not mad. EXPECTED it.

I don't care HOW many elusive targets they present from now on—I'm not even going to waste my time. I am ignoring all such "assignments" in the future.

Vigorous autostimulation is more productive.

Anyway to reset all your stats in hitman?
Delle(DK) Aug 27, 2016 @ 11:11am
In the room with the target, i throw a coin towards the door and "white cap" walk to the door to check it out.. While he walked I took my syringe and injected poison into the guy with the white shirt and walk away fast.. wite cap turned arround a few seconds later and saw the dead target and run to him and "oh no what happen" and then I press Q and he became uncontious just in case he started running.... Well mission success wasent spotted or anything. I exit in the helicopter.

- The man with the white shirt did also not eat the jam or anything.
The only person who drink water and whine was white cap.
