I prefere this game here, despite the technical flaws.
I liked the idea since the beginning. But it felt always a bit clumpsy to me in the execution until Blood Money.
But i still think Absolution was a good genre mix. A good game but not really a great Hitman game so to say.
Hitman: npc in a gazillion
Just to intimidate the player with unnecessary NPCs, sucking the juice off of one's machine.
imo, Contracts is just as good, if not better than Blood Money. The disguise system isn't as forgiving as BM (which is good to me, as BM was a bit too easy in that area), but is still vastly superior to Silent Assassin's system. At the time of its release, I didn't think much of Contracts as much of it was rehashed Hitman 47 levels, but going back to it, I think it's just as good if not better than BM.
Nope, the official title is "Hitman(tm)"
"enter a world of assassination" is there slogan, its not part of the title.
I spend money on the game, so it would be stupid not to play it, I'm a collector freak when it comes to achievements/ingame collectibles, and I was literally just 2 achievements away from having them all, so it seemed like a waist not to just try to get them, now that I have those I will never have to play Absolution anymore.
Aside from that you also can't say I'm just a hater who never tried playing Absolution,
I actually beat it on every difficulty, and I hated every step of it,
(I'm starting to think testing video games would be the perfect job for me, I keep on playing even tough I hate every part of it)
as a game, Absolution is "oke" for that matter,
but it fails badly as a hitman game, both in story and gameplay.
as a easy example its like playing the entire pokemon series, and then suddonly you get to play a digimon game.
a small precentage will say its the best pokemon game they ever played, even tough the larger amount actually know's this is not a pokemon game, and its not a good game at that. (yeah blunt and crazy example, but its also a clear example)
