Which game did you pay for? You don't have the game
I seem to remember some games making a final patch where it no longer touches the servers, but can't think of one off the top of my head.
Does anyone still play Tiger Woods 07 or NHL 10 online? Or those crappy phone games? I'm sure a couple hundred low-rent losers do, but it's not like they can't play the game anymore.
They'll probably release a patch for unlocked offline play when (or if) they stop online support seven or eight years from now. Of course, you'll be able to buy the game for five bucks by then, and you'll have missed all the online content like Elusive Targets.
So you refunded because you might not be able to play the game in 2022? Good thinking, way to outsmart those devious money-grubbing developers.
You can't unlock anything, use any of the unlocked items or participate in challenges, though. It locks off a significant portion of the game for no particular reason.
It's a silly restriction that's for sure.
@OP,
I see no reason that once they shut down the servers they wouldn't patch the game to remove the online restrictions. They aren't selling the game anymore at the point so it really doesn't matter to them if people pirate the ♥♥♥♥ out of this game or use a trainer to unlock everything from the start. In any case, the servers will likely stay online at least until the next completely new Hitman game is released and that's many years from now.
They're closing multiplayer servers on games close to a decade old and that causes you to worry about a game that hasn't even been fully released yet? By a different company altogether?
And you don't even own said game that hasn't been fully released yet?
OMFnG...it gets better every day.lol...
Do you see that happening if they find the game did not perform well?
REALLY?????
Should this be so much to want for a singleplayer game?
THERE IS NO MULTIPLAYER (contracts are Done SINGLEPLAYER)..
That some of you don't get this bs, makes me think you have faith.........google up what Mark Twain says about faith.
If they do not patch it like EA did with SIM CITY (too late to save it). I will wait till it is 75% off X-mas 2017.
At that point it will be worth what I pay for it.
