What order to play the levels?

I know there's a campaign order, but sapienza has lots of bonus levels and the patient zero stuff.

I have finished every escalation contract for Sapienza involving the virus. Should i continue to the extra sapienza missions or move on to marrakesh and then go back?

IMO its better to complete the main campaign to get a feel for all the levels before doing all the bonus stuff.

Do what you want, but I finished the main campaign first, then went back and did all the bonus missions, then went back and did the escalations, then did the GOTY mini-campaign, then went back and systematically did all of the challenges in normal, including all the challenge packs. Then went back and did all of the professional missions to 100% challenges

Best idea would be to play all the levels and master them to lvl 20. That way, you get to enjoy every level. There is always someplace new to explore so it doesn't get monotonous playing the same map over and over. There is the story to follow but most importantly you unlock gadgets which can be used across all maps. If you just keep competing in a level by level fashion, you'll miss out on using various gadgets.

Any order you want. I played them in order just to finish, and after that I kept playing them randomly. One of the first thing I did in this game after finishing the main campaign was getting mastery level 10 Colorado in Professional.
