What does Rosetta 2 do. Where do you find it? Does it run 32 bit also?
I have a 2021 iMac 24" (M1) with Big Sur and it runs Hitman 2016 just fine. I can't turn up every graphics option but it's definitely playable - even compared to my previous MacBook Pro with a dGPU.
For duckwerks, Rosetta 2 is the x86-64 emulator for ARM Macs. The first time you run an x86-64 application, the system prompts you to install it. That it successfully emulates Hitman 2016 means that the game is 64bit, as Rosetta 2 does not run x86-32 applications.

PS. @duckwerks
- If you have a new Apple Silicon M1 OSX11.x, you'll be prompted to install Rosetta 2 on first launch of an Intel-based application (Hitman).
- If you have upgraded to macOS 11 on Intel Macs, this is not an issue.
