You're welcome. It's just one of those things you find out by testing stuff, just like you can shoot through some windows, and others you can't.
There's a few spots with glass like that in the game that don't make logical sense
Similar issues happen in the hotel, you can only shoot the coconuts through certain panels of glass, others are bullet proof. Even in the same window frame sometimes the top or bottom can be shot through but not the other
It's sort of a poor design choice, but its also kinda meant to be a puzzle and not always a perfect simulation of reality
Stalactites do show in Instinct, I just checked.
Looks like you lose again. I think all the lollies are getting to your head.

Virus is shootable through the glass, from the top of the ledge where only one guard patrols and where you can climb down. I just checked. So, apparently there are points in the glass that are breachable.

The funny thing is that people here provided all these polls (including obscure websites) where like 15 people voted...
But the achivement % worldwide for completing level 20 on maps for Sapienza is below Paris and Bangkok XD
And none of the polls I've provided you with had 15 people voting, one has over 300 actually, but that's totally besides the point now
I do like the level though, it' not the worst. But I could live without it. So far in my 100+ hours I would say that Hokkaido is too small, Paris has a lot of unused space, Bangkok is despite it's size quite constricted in terms of opportunities, but it's the best level I think. Colorado is one big Splinter Cell mission, fun to sneak around if you have the saves, but on Pro it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmare I've spent over 6 hours of real time on.
Also, firefights go too fast - the AI is very poor. They just funnel into one space and I drop the whole level on Pro no problem (not boasting here, just that I actually had to run and change my position in Contracts, Codename 47 and BM if I wanted to stay alive... maybe because you feel the pressure when your health is finite). While we're on the topic, do you remember that time when the 47 would get a "lucky" shot from the enemy into his bald head and lose like 95% of health, and if you didn't have painkillers you had to watch yourself the whole level? A guy with a gun appearing in front of you nearly gave you a heart attack. I don't feel this pressure here, even on Pro where just 2-3 shots drop you. You can always run away and magically heal.
My favourite Hitman past time - starting a firefight and killing the entire level with a random weapon like a knife or a fire extinguisher has been destroyed (no reward like ratings or newspaper articles). Now it's challenges like "Find a disguise and drown a guy in a toilet" which are not challenging or fun.
But honestly, that's not a deal breaker for me. I was always the type of player that would restart or reload when he get's spotted or when something goes wrong. For me these games were always about getting in, taking out the target, and getting out without anyone noticing. So the amount of time I would spend in a firefight was fairly minimal..mind you, I never really preferred the suit only runs though, I always felt it takes too much away from the experience to just sneak around
As for Sapienza, I think it has the best designed opportunities in the whole game. For instance, the one where you can get Francesca to meet with the detective has like 3 or 4 variations that it can be played in. I love stuff like that and I feel that when it comes to player freedom and creativity - Sapienza is a notch above the rest
Yeah, that's me as well - a clean ghost run. But sometimes, just sometimes I like to play it Ironman style - anything goes wrong you deal with it. That makes it seem like a movie w/o rewinds.
I only prefer SA-only runs because of two reasons 1. I always liked the suit 2. in most pictures in Codename 47 when the level was loading he was in his suit so since then I thought that's the way it should be done. In movies you see Hitmen snipe a target miles away without changing the disguise (usually), but I agree that changing clothes was and still is an important mechanic.
