What other possibilities exist on the yacht tutorial, other than the challenges?
Per another thread, I'm feeling a bit 'meh' about the demo as well. It's fun and all, but my attempts at creativity don't seem to be rewarded. It seems there should be lots more options possible than just the challenges, but I can't make any of it work.

For example, I tried posing as the security guard, Bert, near the bar that Norfolk is told to talk to. (First by standing near him, hoping to confuse Norfolk, but that didn't work. So next time I led him into the bathroom, subdued him, and took his place near the bar.) But Norfolk just walks up to me, says nothing, and stands there. I try to lead him off towards the bathrooms, but he ignores me and just follows the same path he usually does, up the stairs. It seemed like such an obvious opportunity, the way you hear the barman tell him clearly to speak to Bert. Did I read too much into it?

Another thing I tried was poisoning the pot in the kitchen. I figured if there's a big dish being cooked, the guests on the boat will eat it. So first I subdue the chef and poison the pot. Nothing happens. Then I restart and merely distract the chef before poisoning the pot, hoping that with him still alive he'll serve it to the guests. So he takes a taste and ends up running to the bathroom. That makes sense, but once he's finished hurling he comes back, carries on as before, tastes it again, and nothing happens. Now granted you can only empty the contents of your stomach once, but he didn't react at all, which seemed unrealistic to me. The thing is, why is the pot there? It seems so suggestive to me but I can't figure out what to do with it, other than poisoning the chef (which seems unecessary, as he's in a room on his own).

There's a woman walking around taking a tour of the boat. Again, she seems like a significant actor, but I can't figure out what to do with her. The couple of ideas I do have don't seem worth tyring now.

Even one of the challenges seems particularly unfulfilling. Posing as Norfolk, I was assuming I'd go through the motions he goes through when you just observe the meeting between him and Ritter. But Ritter didn't interact with me at all, even as I stood waiting where Norfolk usually waits. So I followed him into his office while he's trying to figure out his password, and the challenge completes. But as far as Ritter was concerned I may as well not have been there.

I realise that this is really a tutorial, and therefore not necessarily a good demo. But I thought from the reviews than the systems were more dynamic than this. Are there any other ways to tackle this level aside from the challenges, or is that it? Don't be afraid of spoiling anything - it's just the demo and I'd really like to understand the scope of the gameplay.

Thanks!

I just want to say this:
Are you aware that there's another tutorial level called "The Final Test"?
If you feel that "Freeform Training" (Yacht Mission) doesn't have enough to offer then if you haven't already, try out "The Final Test" before giving our your final thoughts of the demo.

Yes, I've played that level a couple of times. I'll play it more soon but the point of focussing on one level is to go into greater depth.
