the only time you get a QTE is when you try to knock out a guard from the front

Yeah, I will try to avoid fighting, because it breaks immersion for me. The game is really good, though. Just sad the devs added this to it. I will not play, Batman, Mad Max, old AC games, Shadow of war/mordor, etc cause of these features. But, it is limited in this game, so I will survive.

There's not really any quick time events in the conventional sense, you just have an elaborate sequence of buttons for hand to hand combat instead of button mashing

QTE typically refers to random button pushing during scenes that could otherwise pass for cut scenes that shouldn't require interaction

Hand to hand has a precise chain sequence depending on how you started the fight

Well, if QTE is not the technical term, then I do not know what is. It does look like a scene to me. There is times where you have to mash x. I do sometimes like to play carelessly when I start getting tired. But, for the most part I play the game as intended, especially now.

I don't really mind it. Tbh the only times it happens is when you mess up and you get caught and/or don't knock them out properly from behind.

Getting into a fist fight is time consuming. It makes you want to be more strategic, which I guess is a good thing.

In Blood Money I'd eventually start getting bored and run around beating people up, or going guns ablaze, which was fun. Such a good game, event today with all its clunkiness. Too bad PC does not have controller support for it.

PC has controller support for any game, you just download the correct controller profile for games that don't have it built in based on what controller you want to use

There's several options listed here:

And they aren't the only methods (I just don't feel like googling more right now)
