Yes it's not confusing to release a Hitman 1 and 2 while they already excist, to release a ''free'' version that's not really the game, but it's not a demo and dividing the game into pieces is not confusing either.

And it does not divide anything at all. If you buy the game you get the Demo-Content + the Full Game Content. In the Demo you get the Demo-Content... I guess Cpt. Obvious killed it there.

They did not exist untill the release in 2016 and 2018
Not even in Spin-Offs. For Hitman 2 there is not even a movie with the same name. So get your facts straight and stop blaming others for your faults
Hitman from 2000 and Hitman 2 was from 2002.
HItman: Codename 47 (2000)
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (2002)
HITMAN™ (2016)
HITMAN™ 2 (2018)
Like I said, for people who can read, it's not hard to figure out.
And don't even begin to tell me that "Hitman: Codename 47" isn't the full name, because otherwise you would also be confusing the rest of the series:
Hitman: Contracts (2004)
Hitman: Blood Money (2006)
Hitman: Absolution (2012)
None of these are only named Hitman and yet you want to ignore the subtitle on one but not the others?
You might as well be claiming that you can't tell the difference between Hitman from 2000 and Hitman from 2006 because you couldn't be bothered to see the "Codename 47" or "Blood Money" portions of the game names.
Yeah after absolution it didn't make sense anymore. And Hitman: codename 47 is Hitman 1, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is Hitman 2.
Ok zoomer. If you ask anyone who played the old Hitman games they would call Hitman: codename 47 Hitman 1 and Hitman 2: silent assassin, hitman 2.
You really think before this Hitman 2 people were like ''hey guy have you played Hitman 2?'' I don't know what you are talking about, I only know of Hitman 2: silent assassin.'' No.
Sorry your questions was if its only you and I've perfectly proven that in fact it IS you. Lets put the Name things aside. Your Main aspect was the "fact" that this game got Split up in a confusing way and I posted two Screenshots that have proven that everything you need to know is given on the storepage and it was YOU who missed that.
Case closed, move on
You mean Persons like me? No we wont say that Hitman Codename 47 is Hitman 1. We probably used to say that but at least after Hitman Contracts we quit saying that and called it the FIRST Hitman.
Trust me I forgot about more videogomes than you will ever play and literally nothing you said there is like even close to reality.
You wanna know what they would sY today?
They would be like Hitman Codename 47 being the orgin of the Person you know as 47 and HITMAN beging the Initiation into ICA and his first Contracts... Something like Hitman Origins if you want it like that
If you're reading this and thinking of getting the game, don't let the seasonal releases put you off!
