Make SA SO easier in Hitman 2
The least they can do is to let us not be penalised for getting spotted by the target you are about to kill because doing the mission so perfectly and then that small little hiccup ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you up and you need to spend 3 hours redoing the mission is asinine.

I never considered elevation to be the issue, however when I think about it, it makes sense. Could it be something that simple? :O

For me, it's usually in Paris, just inside the mansion at the bottom of the stair case where the first agency pickup is found. The amount of times I had to restart because the guard would always ALWAYS start a fight. I ended up having to use the save point after knocking him out just to save my sanity. Hopefully, this will be addressed in HITMAN 2.
Yes, it is an issue. Try to strangle guys near lab exit to beach (there 2 guards, 1 lab guy and you can distract him with fuze box), its quite hard, because usually you just start a fist fight.

It's annoying enough that I've learned to just throw blunt objects at people that I want to knock out. I do most of the professional maps with thrown blunt objects and rarely bother to grab

I have inventory on the tab key so its right above caps lock (holster), im in and out of my inventory constantly as needed

Sa So is really simple once you have a proper feel of the levels.

These games are about using your head to unravel the level.

If you want it to be easy just look up the answers.

But that just takes the fun out of it.
I agree with this.

Never thought I could do colorado SA SO but I did it pretty quickly with the loadout that I planned beforehand which might work and it did.

I thought Colorado was the worst level to Sa So.

You may not start off with any gear in Japan but there are still some places you can move freely unlike Colorado.

They already made it easier compared to older hitmans by letting you knockout as many people as you want.

Yeah Japan was way easier, especially if you kill soders by destroying the heart.

I used the operation table to kill soders and explosion accident for Yuki at her balcony.

I did the same with the heart however for Yuki I locked her in the sauna.
SASO is supposed to be hard, it's meant to be one of the tougher things to achieve, challenging your knowledge of the map, enemy patrols and behaviours etc.
I do have to agree on the being spotted thing.

It shouldn't count against your score if someone spots you and then dies without being able to alert anyone, obviously non targets would get you the non target kill penalty, but when someone yeet an axe at someones face and they turn around and see you do it 0.2s before they take an axe to the face and you miss out on SA because of that, it's just stupid.
I find sniper assassin to be more difficult than SaSo.

Takes some real wits to accomplish those.
I still can’t crack Colorado for thIs challenge.

Put the sniper in the water tower, knock out a few people on your way up there and make sure the roof is clear before you start shooting.

You can shoot all 4 targets from there before you get spotted. If you have trouble with doing it quickly, then simply shoot 1 or 2, climb down and hide in the box until the alerts go away and then climb back up and shoot some more.

Just use your most silent rifle (the ghost snipers great for this), the guards will eventually triangulate your position up there, but you can either do all of your shots quickly or do them slow and hide in the box on the roof between shots while the alerts go away.

If you can't figure that out, do it the slow and easy method:

The same way you would infiltrate and do all fibre wire kills, you just knock out the targets instead while they are alone and then shoot them with the sniper rifle while they are laying down. Sure, it's not as iconic, but it completes the challenge.

I agree that it is kinda stupid that you lose the SA challenge when your targets spot you doing suspicious things before you kill them. If the target dies, then that knowledge about you would die with him/her, and you shouldn't lose your SA bonus.

The Problem i have with this statement is that, what kind of assassin are you if you get spotted doing suspicious things in the first place. You are supposed to be a Phantom/Ghost.

But when you're spotted by your target just before/as you're killing them, you've still gone through the whole level unnoticed, you're still a ghost since you've gotten in, killed your target and gotten back wihtout anyone noticing you. It's a little retarded that you'd lose out on your silent assassin rating because your target saw you just before they died despite the fact that they were unable to do anything about it.
Anyone remember the first mission in Blood Money "Death Of A Showman", which acts as the tutorial? At the end, you confront your target eye to eye, right before murdering him.

In this Hitman in Hokkaido there is a challenge to show yourself in front of Soders.

There should not be any penalty for revealing yourself in front of a target, right before the kill.

Neither of those is a silent assassin finish, sorry, but I disagree.

There are many novelty ways to kill your targets where in the target knows you did it, or where the kill is public, but that's just what they are, novelty variants.

I mean blood money even let you murder the map and just labeled you a mass murderer, it's not like the game prevents you from doing it; but it's not going to praise you and label you a silent assassin when you aren't.

SA SO is supposed to be difficult. It's also not for everyone, which is why you can finish the game without a single SA and/or SO.

You think it's too hard and not worth your time? Finish the game without it. It's a perfectly valid approach.

So, how about these 2?

After you show the targets your face, you kill them and you will still receive SA. And that's a fact.

So, what is it now? Still disagree? But you can't explain it either. Sometimes we get SA, sometimes not.

I think the point still stands. We shouldn't lose the SA rating, even if we have been spotted by someone. Not unless they can report to a guard. Losing our SA rating for getting spotted a second before you kill the person that spotted you is not only illogical, it's complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
