Propper Choke
I want to know why Agent 47 chokes someone in 1 second but in absolution it takes about 4-5 seconds, I just think it's better in absolution. Next I want to talk about how agent 47 chokes someone I thought it would be a classic rear naked choke but he doesnt grab his biscep. Im confused.

47's been working out his forearms after Absolution, that's why it's faster now

He chokes them out faster when pulling them through a window or from around a corner... Or if they're sick (given emetic poison). It's only a few presses of the button, unlike when you just grab from behind and it's like 10 presses.

I don't really know about the number of presses but I know if you spam the Q button the faster you spam the faster you subdue someone
took me a while to find that out, felt really stupid aferwards for not knowing...

Well, you can also do it slowly... If you press it a few times, then stop... On some NPCs you can wait and they'll say something like; "You've been working out haven't you?" Or they'll say something about your suit (like) how it feels, or whatever (I suggest giving it a try for a laugh :-) )... You can even count them out.. before you get to (I'm pretty sure it's 10 presses) then they will pass out after the final / 10th press.

If it's not 10, then it is some number of presses, whether you're pressing fast or slow.

He also has basically zero stealth in absolution... its a gameplay decision, since not everybodys going to have the patience to replay levels a hundred times to find a perfect silent assassin path without looking up a guide, a quick subdue option stops the only other option being a "shoot first, ruin your score later" approach.

Slower chokes in professional difficulty would make sense though, but as a general gameplay mechanic its done that way so choking isn't a chore and shooting becomes the go to option.

I quite agree with that last paragraph as in the case of Deus Ex, i did find myself using the stun gun way to often. Hitman in my opinion if you love it should be treated as a fine wine rather than red bull as theres nothing like almost getting seen.
