Not necessarily. The guards, or an NPC might've heard or seen something. Whatever it is that got their attention will also depend on whether or not you lose your SA rank. If it's a body you killed with a melee method (stabbed, garroted, cut, etc) that will count against you. If they find a body that was killed in some other indirect way (explosion, falling object, or poison) that will not count against you.

Another thing... This happened to me... I was playing the 'Black Hat' Elusive Target. I threw something at a guard, and another guard must've seen the body get hit... Even though it was on the other side of some junk (and really shouldn't have been seen, but that's just an effing bug in this game). I wasn't compromised... But by the end of the mission, I had lost the SA ranking due to that one thing.

Eh, anyway. To answer your question, if you're being hunted then yeah. You blew it son. :steammocking:

SA means you cannot be seen committing crime, and the crime cannot be seen, and bodies cannot be seen, and non-target cannot get killed. Targets killed by poison or accident can be found dead.

Searching is fine, like you make an explosion, they search, you still get SA if you don't make mistakes.

some things that alert civilians and gaurds dont ruin silent assassin, an npc finding a gun on the floor and alerting a gaurd for example will not ruin your silent assassin, infact sometimes its a far better method then using a coin, while bodies being found can ruin silent assassin accident and poison kills can be as public as you want and aslong as it says accident kill unnoticed kill and no one else is caught in the crossfire it should also count towards silent assassin being frisked does not ruin your silent assassin unless they actualy find an illigal item on you.
