In other words you didn't actually pay attention to the story, because there is one and you are also wrong about when it takes place
The first location (the two ICA training facility) are a prequel to the franchise and take place before all other missions (with the exception of the escape from the asylum, which takes place before 47 joins the ICA. ~ these first 2 missions are 47 joining the ICA)
Once you get past those there is a montage of all the previous hitman games. The story arc for season 1 (starting in paris) begins 7 years after the events of Absolution, followed by all the other episodes in order
There is story cutscenese before and after every location all the way through Japan, and the final scene shows Diana and the repurcusions of what you just finished, along with hinting at things to come
technically not just any rich person. He works for the ICA, and Diana (his handler) chooses his contracts
if you've been following along Diana is the only one he trusts (both absolution and Hitman 2016 hammer that home pretty clearly)
Duh.
Silent Assassin has a good story. Blood Money has a good story. Absolution has a go... ok story. Hitman 2016 has no story at all just some random CGI with no any sence.
Without her explaining the lore, I wouldn't appreciate this franchise as much as I am right now.
You made a statement that was factually incorrect (that the game is a prequal), and that it had no story, all I did was correct you
That's hardly "toxic"
All of that was pretty obvious for anyone who finished every game without skipping cut scenes. That blogs just a summary of info that was made clear in each game
The people who are defending are actually quite calm when it comes to arguing about these things.
If you want a real representation of the Hitman community, visit the Hitman Forum[www.hitmanforum.com] or the subreddit because most dedicated Hitman fans don't want to browse the Steam forum due to how it's infested with uninformative people.
It goes to show how very little you know about the game if you think it's short just because it has six episodes without realising that replayability is a big part of the game.
Was it really clear though? I guess so but judging from the third introductory paragraph, the intention of that blog was to help people understand the games' plot whether they're struggling or believed that the series don't have story at all.
I just wanted to show that person that there is a story/lore in Hitman.
I wasn't trying to contradict you. You have a valid point: that blog serves the purppose of showing people (who weren't paying attention) that yes, there is a storyline to the entire franchise
I was just pointlessly commenting that for anyone who completed the series and watched all the cut scenes, that blog is just a summary of events.
I may have a habit of stating the obvious (mostly because I don't know what is obvious to other poeple)
