How can the 4 seconds run of professional Hokkaido be possible?
This is the top 1 in the global board. Even with a trainer I cannot imagine how to do it.

Blatant cheating. Just ignore every score that does not have a video on youtube.

Those cheaters should have their hands chopped off!

Yea there a number of cheaters out there, why online leaderboards are a waste in games that do not have some heavy anti cheat system.

Just look at GTAO, where every race has a record score of under 10 seconds, no matter how many miles/kilometers long the track is... :steammocking:

Not even sure why the leaderboard cheaters bother. Everybody knows a 4 second score is impossible, so it's obvious they're cheating, and it's not like having a high score of a map gives you anything.
Shows they're so bad they need to cheat.

And that's coming from me, a habitual cheater in a lot of SP games... what I wouldn't give for an infinite ammo cheat for this game.
But leaderboard cheating, shameful.
Legit speedrunners usually have YT videos to prove it

These 1 second assassins are blatant cheaters and trusting the global leaderboard is kind of impossible

Heck, it's hard to tell who is a true speedrunner and who is a subtle cheater shaving a few seconds off of the speedrunner's time from the leaderboards

Actually... I think it's pretty easy. Think of the bell curve. YUsually the biggest gap in times differentiates between cheaters and legit players. If for instance, you have times like:

0:05, 0:06, 0:10, 0:13, 0:47, 0:49, 0:50, 0:50, 0:51,

And then from there almost everyone else differs by mere milliseconds, then it's safe to say that the legit players are those from 0:47 onwards, and the rest can be discarded. Look for the outliers.

You're forgetting about the cheaters who deliberately make their times look legit, but still beat other players. In your example, what if someone waited 45 seconds before freezing their game time? You'd assume they were legit.

True... but it seems stupid for those people to cheat and try to make their times look legit, if they're not trying to beat the current record holder.

There's respect to someone who can beat the current record with lots of skill, luck and perfect timing - but it seems stupid to deliberately get a time that might not get you in the top 10 anyway... what the hell is the point of that?

Your point however is true, but at least we can see a fine line between those who have definitely cheated and those who most likely haven't.

If you are trying to get all the achievements, one of them is to be #1 on a leaderboard. That becomes impossible when playing legit if everyone else has cheated their way into first place, there won't be room to ever get it without cheating in an even faster time

They can just create a contract and play two times, which is easy.

Exactly, that's what I did.

The online leaderboards are for console games and not pc, but this is a console port thus...
