Also if they do have a season 2 they will most likely go back to the episodic releases.
Are you really comparing this to EA
Simple math: 7 episodes 7€ each + 10€ for an extra mission/campaign + 13€ for a costume pack = 72€ which is the price of the bundle.
That's 13€ for meaningless esthetics you're forced to pay for. So yes, l compare this to EA. And l don't buy the argument that they could make the game cost 13€ more and include the costumes for free, because that's overpriced. Without the costume pack (59€) but with the bundle reduction (-20%) it should cost 47€ (lol, every new Hitman game should cost that much :p)
Jesper Kyd is freelance, but IOI never contacted him for the production of Absolution. I just got a new gfx, the old one was broken and couldn't play Hitman. And now l wanted to download the game to try, l saw this.
If its too much for your taste then wait for a price drop, Jeez consumers are just really dumb and impatient sometimes
Or better yet don't buy it at all since the game is sooo "anti-consumer"
The costume pack is just pure esthetics that really should be for free in this kind of game where you disguise yourself on a regular basis.
The full game costs 49€. That's a good price. Then they add Patient zero for 10€ for a total of 59€, which, once again, is a good price and fully acceptable to be included in the game.
TL;DR: Drop the unnecessary costume pack from the bundle and let us buy only the core game.
Well, I guess your only choice is to wait until it is either unbunbdled or a price drop on the base game. Imo the game is well worth the money because it is one of my favorite Hitman games to date and it has almost limitless replayability.
The costume pack actually comes with new escalations and weapons that matches the new outfits; one is a bat, the second is a sniper rifle with better zoom and the third is a powerful pistol that can knockback people hard.
I thought the game always costs $60 (or similiar depending on your currency) like a typical AAA game before they repackaged into "GOTY" edition.
Absolution was pathetic, so i've been cautious and waited. Now squenix is out, the format and gameplay are apparently back to normal, excellent news. But this solo game can still not be played offline entirely for example, for the dumbest reasons possible.
The game is a failure. To get customers back, IO has found nothing better than continuing this timed content ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, or trying to sell 3 meshes and 3 textures for 12 bucks. This will certainly interest the 600-800 players on average, and some old pros who go from time to time through this dead forum.
So what happened to IO is that they just wanted to eat bigger than they could, but at the end, it's them who got busted. And given how they screwed this awesome licence, i can not say that i'm not happy about it.
If you haven't even played the recent Hitman your self (you can try it free btw) how can you even argue that "they screwed this awesome licence"? The game itself stays so true to the core of Hitman that I would argue that it is one of the best Hitman games in recent years (and yes better than Bloodmoney because that game is too dated imo).
Does the game have its issues? Of course, but they by no means killed the license with this game. Hell, I would even argue that they prevented that because of how bad Absolution was recieved by the hardcore fans.
I was one of the early adopters of the new episodic Hitman and at the beginning I was also dissapotinted by how the content was handled but after coming back to all of the levels that were added it has become an excellent Hitman package.
My issues with the game boil down to poor optimization on some levels and the "only online" nature but the core gameplay is excellent and has provided many memorable moments that games like Bloodmoney provided.
I also can't stand the "steam says that there are only #-# players therefor it is dead and it failed" arguemnt especially when your talking about a mainly single player experience that has been out for more than a year.
Square Enix has an in-house audio department and IOI was CONTRACTUALLY OBLIGATED to use said service. It had absolutely nothing to do with "choice."
The chances of Kyd returning are slim-to-none however, unless you're willing to wait another couple years for the next installment.

I mean if you think a company that sells an "overpriced" DLC even though it can only be bought on a bundle anyway is worse than a company that sells loot boxes or microtransactions then you gotta be a moron if you really think so.
I already said that one of the DLCs' prices was raised probably due to how Steam Bundles work - because Bundles puts a discount.
Yeah, most of these threads are silly. Between this and battlefront 2, I keep checking in just to see what the new issue of the day is with Hitman. My favorites are the people who do not own or have played under an hour complaining about the price of dlc. Just seems silly to me to buy a full price game, not play it then complain about greedy companies wasting their money, when truth it they are wasting it themselves. I'm just as guilty to buy a game and not play it right away, but I really can't complain unless i experience the issues myself.
I haven't bought the DLC yet since I'm still playing through the season and challenges, but it doesn't really seem that bad for 20$. I've paid more for less in life.
