Question about the Oh Deer challenge for the holiday mission.

Are you allowed to knock either of them out before blowing them up?

I seem to be having a lot of trouble with it. So I was wondering if you could knock them out and set them up to blow up, or if they need to be concious when they blow up.

Also, if they do grab an item, knocking them out makes them drop it. If you reclaim items (so they still go back empty handed), does that count?

Or do you have to have actually grabbed every item before they could get them?
Cause I got that challenge done before, just grabbing everything (cause I knocked them out and then gathered it all before going back to kill them).

I would assume so as long as you are blowing them up properly, like some times they want you use a propaine tank or a oil drum to do it for instance.

They just have to meet up freak out over not getting any loot. the easy way to do all that is knock both of them out at the start hide their bodies, but not in a closet or anything just someplace they cannot be seen because evntually you are gonna want them to be woken up.

Then go grab all the items.

Then drag their bodies to where they will be found. let them wake up people freak out a bit eventually they will meet in the basementl level near that rug thing in the one room.

Place propain tank on the rug there, there are a few in the basement level, shoot it while they standing around it crying about not getting any loots.

You can even detour and grab the santa outfit if you need that challenge even.

Okay, so it should work then. That's what I'm trying now. Marv is easy to take care of, as he's out of the way. Harry I knocked out in front of a fireplace and dragged him behind a counter. Nobody found him.

I've grabbed all the items, stashing the large ones in bathroom bins (as I did when I got the achievement for stealing everything first). Then I dragged them to places they'd be spotted, and now I'm waiting in the basement (in a Santa suit cause I found him along the way) with a propane flask sitting on their white loot bag.

Hopefully it will work.

SOLVED!

The problem persisted even after I picked up all the stuff. Achiev did not show me because one of the things - specifically the party ax - was thrown by me near the place where they otherwise crafted their stolen objects. So, do not leave any of the items lying at their bags!
